    Different keyboard, different performance

    Hello!

I was curious to test the game I'm working on with a different keyboard, and some combos didn't work, the ones related to holding several keys at the same time. The keyboard itself works just fine, I played Arkham Origins just a moment ago and it was fine, so I'm asking you if there is some kind of limitation in Fusion 2.5?

Some keyboards just can't recognize certain combinations of keys, due to the way that they're laid out internally (certain keys on the same chain of electrical triggers, and so on). How many simultaneous keys does the problem happen with, and which ones?

3 keys or more. For example, there is a special move in the game, hyperjump, which is performed when you hold up and press jump. The problem occurs when you want to move to the right or left when you do that (which is always, since it's a platformer). So you're holding Right, Up and pressing space to jump, but it just doesn't work. However, when you do the same to the left, it works.

For now you can temporarily change your controls to buttons that CAN simultaneously register on your keyboard, or use a USB controller.

A permanent solution would be finding a keyboard with a high NKR (N Key Rollover.) Most keyboards that advertise this feature are mechanical. I highly recommend getting one, if you can afford it, as they are much easier to type on, much more responsive than regular keyboards, and supposedly much easier on your wrists. Its a win-win, as you lessen the strain on your wrists, reducing the possibility of repetitive strain injury, as well as alleviate your problem with multiple keypresses.
