Draw object - Ability to change width and height

I have been trying to achieve something with the Surface object but due to some bugs and / or inability to do certain things I have noticed that the draw object will achieve the same thing I am looking for. I would like to be able to draw a grid like background that is variable in size, I can actually do this with the Surface object but there are many bugs when scrolling and objects being moved over the top of it. So all the draw object needs is the ability to change the width and height of the draw canvas in the events editor, and to be able to retrieve the width and height in the expression editor.

Would this be a massive deal to change because it would completely solve my issue?

What sorts of issues are you experiencing with Surface? Are you using the latest beta? Have you tried removing all Surface.mfx and related files from your Fusion installation and then reinstalling the latest beta?
