This option is badly named, we should have renamed when we've implemented the D3D modes, as it works differently in standard and D3D modes.
If this option is unselected, the program uses the Windows anti-aliasing option as selected by the user in their desktop settings (Smooth texts).
If this option is selected:
- in standard mode it ignores the Windows anti-aliasing and uses an internal anti-aliasing.
- in D3D mode it ignores the Windows anti-aliasing, but doesn't replace it by anything else.

Hi clickteam and all clickers! Thanks Yves this is cool, but I don't know this before this, really interesting information about Clickteam Fusion 2.5! I want for string antialiasing into my someone projects, but this option working differently with option name and I want asking about this! Now I know this and I sure Yves fixed it!
