String object for dialogue not supported on android? Alternate option?

Hi all, quick question.. is the String object not supported by Android? I tried to do the tutorial on the Clickteam site for dialogue using an .ini file for displaying text but when uploading it to android I get that some objects aren't supported. Guessing it's the string object.

If that's the case, what do you all suggest to use for a quick dialogue session using Android?

I have a cutscene between two characters that will exchange some dialogue (not much), I was thinking of just uploading some graphic chat bubbles with text included and having it display via the event editor, but curious if there is a better route to go. I read in some other post that text blitter was a resource hog so since I'm not having a lot of dialogue thought it was best to avoid that.. what do you guys think?

    Thanks all! : )

string objects are definitely supported.. do you mean the string parser object? that might not be.

Ah that's weird then, thanks Dave! I am just using the String object, not string parser. Well it's good to know it should work fine, I must have some other issue causing that error. I'll play some more with it and see if I can get it to work in a new file.

    Thank you =)

I think I found what my problem was, I found a post that is similar to my issue:

I'll see if I can figure out how to make this work!
