Return dimensions of an externally loaded image?

I need to return the dimensions of an external image.

It doesn't matter how the image is loaded because it won't be displayed.

    Any ideas?

What type of object are you using? If you use the Load frame action for the active object, it won't return the new dimensions if you try to retrieve width/height but instead that of the original image. Not sure if this is a bug or not.

^ Probably a bug, but there's an easy workaround. You have to force Fusion to update the image properties.

    Load frame
    Set scale to 0
    Set scale to 1

I'm displaying the image in a variety of ways depending on the format, writing a picture viewer, one that displays animated gifs.

Managed to solve the program using Javascript, but this is much more elegant, Cheers Nim,

Does it mean that, regarding the dimensions, you can allow or not to load the picture for example ?
