Do you have the free version of the software? The free version only exports to html5, which does not support midi playback. "Play music" won't work because midis aren't compatible with the only file type that you can export.
its the free version, and since its the most basic tutorial you would think that it would be compatible with the free version, and what about the lives? you get 3 lives? i didn't assign it to have 3 lives not to mention you can't alter it to any other number, not impressed
It's a very old tutorial designed for a very old version of fusion, not made for the free demo. Which is why it's a midi file and not something more modern. I'm not sure if you have the option for "Play Sample" in the free version, but that's what you'll use exclusively in cf2.5 for all of the music file types.
There are several ways to change your number of lives. Under the application properties, there is a default setting for "Initial # of lives," which you can change from 3. And at any time in your event editor, you can set an event for "Set number of lives" for any condition that you can think of just by clicking on the joystick icon.
CF2.5 isn't like other game authoring software, and it can be kind of tough to grasp at first, but once you get out of the gate, it's a very powerful tool, especially for the price. Some amazing things have been made with it. These forums are invaluable and there are lots of people that will help you with your frustration.
the only way to alter the lives count is in the event editor, and what ever no. you set it to it still insists on 3, another master piece from mandarin software
Highlight "application 1," or whatever you've named it, in your workspace toolbar, click the "play" button in the properties window to bring up "runtime options" and scroll down. You should see "Initial # of Lives" which you can change.
Maybe post your mfa?
doesnt allow me to upload my file, there is no such option, just like half of those options you listed dont exist
Click "Go Advanced" below and scroll down to "Manage Attachments." You should be able to upload your mfa file.
here we go
Here's your file with 9 lives to start. Highlight "choccobreakcol" in your workspace toolbar and it will bring up the application properties toolbar. Click the "play" button to bring up the runtime options and scroll down for "Initial # of Lives."
