Fusion Sheets, A sprite sheet maker made with, and for, Clickteam Fusion

I wasn't quite sure where to put this thread, but I just wanted to share this little tool I made, called Fusion Sheets.

It will take sprite image files and create a sprite sheet template, letting you set up hotspot and actionspot coordinates beforehand and then easily import them into Clickteam Fusion as a boxed-sprite sheet. You won't even have to touch the hotspot tool once in the Fusion Editor. The reason I made this was because I got tired of having to re-position the coordinates every time I had updated graphics that I needed to import. With this tool, once you've made a template, you can just re-import the updated sprites onto a previously saved template and create a new sprite sheet. It's saving me alot of time and I thought others might find it useful too.

    It's available for download here:
    http://www.gaspop.com/download/fusionSheets10.zip

It should be quite easy to use. There's a guide in the document that comes with the program and I'll probably make a video of it eventually. It only has some basic features so far as I didn't add much aside from what I needed. But if there's interest in any additional features let me know!

Here's what the editor looks like:

and this is what a saved sprite sheet might look like:

Oh I wish I had this with my previous project. I hated moving hotspots around all the time! I'm not probably going to need it this time around, but I'm sure a LOTS of users will find this tool very useful.

    Great job Chrille!

    Thanks J3sseM

I just realised that it might not work well if your sprites are very large. It won't make a sprite sheet larger than what will fit into the program window, which is currently 800x600. I guess I'd have to look into if I change the program resolution at runtime.

    Tools are cool!
Thing about throwing it up in Clickstore (free or paid) so people can find it easily.

I hadn't thought of that, Jeff. I will after I make some adjustments like support for changing the window size and an option for batch jobs/renders.

    Whoa, great job Chrille!

I once thought of making something similar in scope yet different in mechanics,
a kind of animator with predetermined animation movements (stopped, walking etc)
where you could load bodyparts (as active pngs) and the tool would create movements by rotating/zooming and export keyframes for you.
However I stopped because the work was not so quick to complete and I thought I would have drawn better and more distinguished sprites by hand in about the same time...

I will certainly try your tool when I'll be finally drawing final sprites for my game project, thanks a lot!

Sorry for spamming the thread like this, but it's not possible to edit your older posts and I made a few changes to the program, the last for a while now. Version 1.2 can be downloaded here:

    http://www.gaspop.com/download/fusionSheets12.zip

If some kind moderator could replace the download link in my first post with this one that would be appreciated. I'll try to get it on Clickstore eventually, but my account hasn't been approved yet.
