    Associated array problems... sounds still playing, spawned platforms checkpoint...

    Ok, after pulling my hair out, and reading Nivram's posts and analyzing the example I still can't figure out certain things with the associated array.
    Video of the issue I am having with a better explanation. I just don't get it... there is nothing there for it to collide with.... so why oh why is it colliding with something that isn't there! GRRRR!

    I'd watch those juicy sprites for ages
    (man that goatlike thing is beautiful, did you draw it by yourself? May I ask you if you handdraw/scan - pen & tablet... or?)

    Coming to your question,
    I guess you are saving your platforms position/size/shape etc. in an associative array,
    but again... it's hard to tell what's going wrong behind the curtain, without actually seeing it
    so a cleaned .mfa would help us help you

    sadly no. This is my first game, my plan was to just use these sprites as place holders until i make my own. I have a steady hand, but it would probably take me about a week to make 1 sprite that detailed.

    Uh... I'm really really tempted to see that goatthing in full action..
    ....but my antivirus would sandbox my brain was I going to pull down an 89 mb .exe without his approval

    I'm going to wait for the cleaned .mfa version, if you'll manage to do, and still need help

    not a problem. now that I think about it, I should probably use mp3 instead of ogg to compress the exe a bit more.

    lol, I just want to thank you again. By asking me for a watered down mfa, I was able to better understand arrays, and I was able to fix my problem in my real game. I guess since there is so much going on, (even with well labeled groups) it can get overwhelming. I'm learning something new everyday as well. I'm 3 levels into my game, and I just found out what a frickin qualifier is. And to boot, anyone that downloads that mfa will see how a noob can accomplish quite a few things. So, again thanks for just replying.
