    Hooking into a webpage with F2.5

    Hi All,

    In my effort to prove to my work that F2.5 is a competent piece of software for windows app development , I have been working on an app.

    We have a service desk website (manage engine) in which teachers can submit jobs.

    Now, the service desk also has a mobile version (which is what i am trying to hook into) as it's much simpler to submit a job.

    Of course, webview object works but it needs to be simplier and preferably just some basic edit boxes in F2.5 to populate though details.

    I spent a couple of hours trying to get this to work but no joy so far. I've examined source code and trying to put pieces into F2.5 (like the webview object) with no joy.

    Is it more like i am actually going to have to use database objects and get commands?

    I basically want peoples opinions on how i could get around this. I originally set up email object to submit a job via email and have it added to the help desk that way - but unfortunatly they don't want to enable that function. Any ideas would be fantastic.

    cheers

    For example, the source for the submit page is..

    <link href="/mc/style/style_bb.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

    <title>ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus</title>

    Are you trying specifically to load a webpage within an F2.5 application and allow interaction through that? To make a 'true' client without going through the webpage, I would recommend hooking into the webservices if the site you're trying to connect to provides a set, and using something like the Get Object to send get/post requests to the server.
