    Cool How can I make a Punch Out kind of enemy?

    Hey CLickteam,

    I usually post questions that are related to the project I'm working on, but this time I just have a nostalgic request! Punch Out was and is the best boxing game I ever played. Now that I have the power to create games, thanks to Clickteam, its cool to see how these games are made! If you have time and would like too, please post your best Punch out example. This would be great for newer users of Clickteam like me! Thanks CLickers!

    Punch Out really was a one-of-a-kind, I guess because of enemy design, they were memorable!
    And spooky... I was a child and remember some of them being scary

    I don't think It would require much coding, as much as a good character graphic design.
    The game would basically have only to play the right animation at the right moment,
    and addressing damage / checking conditions on specific timing,
    i.e.:

    enemy animation "punch" finished playing (or frame number >= N, to addres wheter the punch has reached its max length)
    + player animation "stopped" playing (or other animations with frame number < N1, to check if player is standing, or has prevented the enemy by attacking quicker)
    ----> do damage

    Same reversed for enemies.

    Only thing to code a little more would have to be enemy behaviour/positioning on screen,
    that could be tweaked in many ways:

    -depending on current HP of enemy (low hp=add to chances making big troublesome attack)
    -depending on match time left
    -depending on player HP
    etc.

    Just a quick idea! Surely there can be many other ways.

    Hey,

    Yeah. The more I learn from you guys the more I start to see how to begin coding. I was thinking along those lines. Its really awesome that stuff like this is achievable in fusion. This really was a useless post, just reminiscing! Thanks Schro.

    It's interesting seeing how often "simple" concepts, maybe also quickly "technically" doable,
    can touch such a great audience!
    It seems that in gamemaking good ideas counts

    Surely not a useless post Emerson!
    It's Fusion power that's so overwhelming it's sometimes striking to realize how easily you can achieve things

    Checking when an animation and frame is playing would work very well in this situation. Good luck on your project!
