I'm running Ultimate Fullscreen and the Steamworks object in my game and have had zero problems. I'm also running uncompressed. I will keep an eye out for this though!
I'm doing a lot of stat tracking in my game, and am also including art packs from some of my friends' games that require you to own the games the art is based on, so disabling the Steamworks object isn't really an option.

The issue arises when the game is not the same resolution as the monitor being used to display it on using UFS. I'm developing at 1920x1080 (16:9) and my main monitor is 1920x1050 (16:10) - UFS adds black bars top and bottom to keep the image looking crisp, but the Steam overlay has incorrect mouse co-ordinates because it thinks the game is being run at 16:9 when in reality it's 16:10.

Ooo interesting. I've tried running my game on my laptop at 1366x768, also 16x9. I've seen it add some one-pixel lines on the side but considering the ratio is the same, nothing nearly as severe as what you're talking about.

Try playing with the different fullscreen types that UFS offers. It's possible that one of them will cooperate better with the Steam Overlay than others. You might have to set the game to stretch just a little bit for Steam to cooperate.

The other option is to use UFS to offer a Windowed mode for your game, like I've done, and that should help users out.

I will have to see if this problem pops up for me. Luckily the only area where it could be a problem in my game is the menus, which are also controllable, at the same time as the mouse no less, with the keyboard AND with a controller. Yes, I'm bragging about control redundancy in my code, so what?

Has anyone had any luck with this issue? The closest I can come to a solution is having users manually disable the Steam Overlay before hand.. What's strange is my game works fine until about the fourth Frame and then bugs out, it also occurs if you try to activate full screen mode. On a side note does anyone know a way to make it available to users to disable the Overlay in game? I didn't see anything useful for that within the Steamworks extension.

Can we toggle between UFS and Fusions scaling by toggling their code within event groups? I don't know that this would be a solution, but it's just an idea...

Just a Cleric has this exact problem as well. When I went to maximize the game through the Steam client the picture shows up in the top left hand corner of the screen and everything else is white and freezes up.

What I've done as a compromise for now is increase the size of the game window so that it's almost max size and disabled the maximize button on the header.

I'm so glad I tested this out though, I had no idea this was even an issue until looking through these threads on everything Steam. I always play the game in regular windowed size but my daughter likes to play it maximized and that's how I discovered his problem.

Edit: I should note that I'm not using the UFS object, I use the Window Control Object to make the picture larger.
