    Unhappy Active dissapears instead of playing animation?

    Well, hi there!
    After days of seeking an programm to make an simple sprite animation movie, i remembered MMF2, and it brought me to CF.
    So, after installing the free version, i created an "active", and started the 4-hour long process of importing all the frames, one by one,
    while listening to music.
    After that, i added a nice background, made the first preparation for the dielogue box, and then the problem assasinated me
    The "hero" is supposed to play the "sleeping" animation when the frame starts, but for some reason "change animation sequence to" -> "sleeping" results... in the object simply dissapearing.
    I tried many things: setting the direction of "active", animation direction, reappear.... but nope.
    Or is it because i tried to resized the "active", and wasn't happy with the result, undid it, and he disapeared, and while i tried to make it reappear, the "limit reached" message appeared?
    I don't think so, because i restarted CF, (and ~45 minutes of importing were gone.... >.<).
    So, please help, or atlest show me one simpleprogram to make a sprite animation movie with sound.....

    welcome here!

    very often this kind of issues are caused by wrong hot-spot placement,
    have you checked that your hot spot is always in "homogeneous" positions between different animations/frames?
    (the sprite doesn't disappear, but just goes positioned away from visible window)

    if your sprite is very big/full of animations, could also be a memory problem
    (what exactly the the "limit reached" message said?)

    As for cartoon animation, on zero-budget you could try the free *buggy but sweet* "pencil"

    Angry 100% valid animations cause active to simply dissapear...HOW?

    Well, i made sure the hotspot is in the right position when i were importing, (i tested all the animations).
    And, the sprite is no way full of frames, and i had no memory error (i simply closed CF when i got the "demo limit reached" error, and when i reopened, it realoaded a prevoious savestate)
    And, all i want is to make a sprite animation movie - u know, like super mario bros z (but no way so good... maybe).

    So, i want my "hero" to play the animation "sleep" when i press f8, so what i did is: Start of frame - hero - change animation sequence - sleep.
    I have done some testing (with the timer and other stuff) , and it turned out: WHENEVER I CHOOSE MY "ACTIVE"(hero) TO PLAY ANY ANIMATION, HE SIMPLY DISSAPEARS FOR THE DURATION OF IT...
    What could POSSIBLY cause this fatal error? I only have 1 event, and it can't even work..... PLease, if you can't help, then give me one simple, good sprite animation software... all i want is to make an animation movie... how hard can it be.... haha...ha.... PLZ HELP

    If you got chance to upload your .mfa here,
    maybe removing most of animations except for a couple of -still buggy behaviouring- "sleeping" frames,
    we could take a closer look to the issue
