    Access REST api from application

    Hi

This spring in school, we "learned" (or supposed to learn anyway) how to use REST api to save and load stuff from a database, from a website. We used a google extension called "Postman" to send requests such as GET and PUT. Im sure some of you smart people know how it works :b

Assuming I have a server capable of handling such requests, is it possible to do the same thing from a Clickteam Fusion 2.5 application?? is there any objects supporting this??

Look and see if you can do it via the GET object.
It can do GET and Post -- I have been meaning to learn more about REST since I enjoy hooking Fusion to web services.

I checked out the Get object first, but as far as my web skills go, it can only retrieve information, and not send.
    - Get URL (enter URL)
    - Add POST data (add name, add value)

.. After thinking a little bit, I can understand that such an object Im asking may not be available at the time. After all, we encoded C# classes with fields to save into our databases. However, a clever way to do this would be awesome!

"Adding POST data" is sending information! You can do this with GET as well, adding key-value pairs to the URL (although it's generally bad practice to use a GET for anything that makes a change to anything).

Ohh, really?? But how will my application know where to send this POST data? It does not ask for any URL.
I will have to refresh my memory on how Get and Post works. I remember doing it in PHP 3 years ago, and I know it is actually very basic xP Maybe it will make more sense soon!

It will use the same URL you used with the GET URL action.

    Add all your post items
Then put the URL in the Get URL action
