    Question Does anyone have PowerFunction.mfx?

I am trying to open a somewhat old MMF 2 project, and it requires the PowerFunction.mfx object, which I do not have. Although my searches seem to indicate that this object was not converted to MFX, I remember using it in MMF 2.

I think I remember this object being hard to find. Does anyone have it? Was there an unofficial conversion? Was there a way to use old MMF 1.5 objects in MMF 2? Thank you.

You will need to delete the object - copy and rename any other MFX to the name of the missing MFX, load the MFA, then delete the object from all frames. Save a new copy of the MFA, close Fusion, delete the fake MFX, and reload the project.

Thanks, I didn't think of that. But I would still like to find the Power Function Object, if anyone has it.

I'm guessing that is a different function object. Does it show up as Power Function Object in Fusion? Thanks.

i think i got it, but it's just an old mmf1.5- extension, so it's not going to work when running your game.
here it is in .cox format: PowerFunction.zip
if you put it in the folder \Extensions\mmf1 you should be able to load your game at least.

Thanks, SoftWarewolf - I didn't know that was possible. That will definitely be useful in the future.

I've just tried that. However, I still receive this message:

This application requires the following extensions :

    Power Function object (PowerFunction.mfx)

Install these extensions and then click Retry.

So it seems that I had been using an MFX file, which it cannot find.

Rename it to .mfx and put it in the Extensions/ folder. It is likely to not work when running your application, but at least you will be able to load it.

Unfortunately, unless you can find that mystical MFX version, your only option is to do what I said originally. What exactly did this object do? It is likely that other extensions can replace its behavior.
