App orientation in ios task switcher is WRONG!!!

My ios application is set to landscape (automatic) but when device testing it appears squashed in and in portrait when viewing in the task switcher (ie. when you click the home key twice and browse your open apps).

Can anyone help me solve this problem???

Register your serial or steam account and put in a bug report.

It sounds like a problem you can't fix yourself but you could try changing some application properties to see.

I know it's got something to do with enabling iad.
When iad isn't enabled the snapshot in the task switcher is the right orientation.
When it is enabled it appears upside-down, squashed-in portrait.

I've tried digging around in xcode for clues but I've got no idea what I'm doing when it comes to objective-c.

I've tried disabling iad when 'application is deactivated' using ios object.
No luck.

Any other ideas whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.
in the meantime I'll send a bug report.
