    Exclamation Zip Object crashes game

    I've been forced to switch from the Archive Object to the Zip object for a game of mine (wilkanoid2) since the Archive Object isn't available in Fusion 2.5, but the Zip Object keeps crashing the game.

    Crashes seem to happen randomly, one time I unzip different files over 30 times without problem, the next time it crashes on the first one. Seems to crash randomly no matter which zip file I put into it.

    This is really important to me since I'm looking into maybe getting Wilkanoid 2 on Steam and I can't have a crashing game.

    Has anyone experienced this? Is the zip object provided by Clickteam? If so they should take a look at this, I'd be happy to provide mfa files.

    Is there any other way to unzip in Fusion except for Zip Object?

    This is wrong place to post topic like this one. I believe that only extension developers should be able to start topic in this place.

    It's a forum for released extensions.. extension development has it's own forum so I dont see the problem? I thought this was exactly what this forum was about but maybe I'm wrong? If so feel free to moderate..

    Edit: maybe I did post in the wrong forum, sorry for that if so!

    Thanks again Stephen, I'll try out the Archive object and see if it works in Fusion 2.5!

    But would still like to know if anyone knows anything about the Zip Object problems? Feels strange to have an object available that isn't working..

    There is a few other ways to compress data in CF2.5. It must be in zip? Anyway I will try to look at this zip object soon.

    Thanks, and yes it has to be zip since I already made a game (wilkanoid 2) that uses a zip format for the custom levels..

    For now I used Stephens archive object which seems to be working even though it hasn't been properly updated for Fusion 2.5. I can unzip how many levels i want, it never crashes so for now it works!

    Had you installed the latest version of the Zip object from the extension manager? A crash was fixed some time ago.

    Yes, it was the latest version. But I added it into an old project, maybe that messed things up? Anyway, even when I deleted the object and all the logic and redid it from scratch it still crashed.

    I can send you a mfa file if it would help?
