Question Application Ported To Flash - Graphics Are Terrible

I've made an application which was ported to flash using the flash exporter. The original graphics look fine when run from inside MMF2.5, when run from an exe file, and when run using Vitalize. But when built using the flash exporter, the graphics are of poor quality and the text is nearly unreadable. Is this normal and is there a way of fixing this?

Did you set it for the game to be using flash 10 or higher when you build the application? I use an earlier version of Java for 2.0 and 2.5 of Fusion, never the latest one. Not sure if that might have anything to do with it.

Try experimenting with the Flash specific requirements, and see if you can get them to display better.

If you imported gifs or bmps, try pngs and see if those help. Check that you have your action and hotspots on all of your graphic images, where you need them to be(some may need to be centered).

If you have any windows or directx settings on from the exe version, turn them off. Try changing the display settings of what resolution the swf will display as, and try and lock it to that size.

    Can you post comparison screenshots?

    Xhadoe,
It seems that if I run the .swf file by double clicking, it looks fine. But if I run it from within a web page using the html file, it does not. The difference seems to be that the overall size of the app is smaller in the html window. I've tried to increase this size in a number of ways, but so far nothing has worked. Any help appreciated.

Try checking 'Resize Display to Fill Window Size' in the App window properties and also 'Anti-Aliasing when resizing' - see if that helps.

If not, can you send me the SWF and accompanying HTML file to look at...
