I was thinking something like this:

User: 0000-1111-2222-3333 - Submitted on [Time] [Date]
Or invert [Time] [Date] so it does [Date] [Time] after.

Though, using the calendar object's Selected Date$ does something like this: 12-05T14:47:56 Which is also good. Just that the time here does NOT update for whatever reason. Maybe I am using the wrong expression.

Then on your "set text" event you can add something like this to what you already have:

    + " - " + Str$( hours of( "Date & Time" ) ) + ":" + Str$( minutes of( "Date & Time" ) ) + " " + Str$( day of month of( "Date & Time" ) ) +"/" + Str$( month of( "Date & Time" ) ) + "/" + Str$( year of( "Date & Time" ) )

(you can try copy-pasting this time )

If you also need trailing zeroes, this can be done but you have to add some extra string functions

I have an idea, but I'm unsure how to process this.

So now, the found occurrence of text reads 20 characters. So if someone did this
User: !id The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog

It would come out like this:
    User: The quick brown fox

So I was thinking, maybe if there was a way I can set it to do the usual, but read +25 characters instead of 20. However, to ONLY read 20 characters, and do NOT record and list if the count is over 20 characters. Is this possible?

The current script does work if a text is too short, but does NOT currently work if the text is over 20.

    Sure it doesn't?

this should be addressed by this condition:

    Len(FoundText$( "Web Control Object" ) ) = 25

and by the second find text code:

find occurrence [...] read 21 of type "c"

    Sure you have replicated both?

    Should work this way:
returns 21 characters on the right + occurrence (": !id") = 26 characters

so there can be 3 situations:

    1) text is short < 20 characters, return max. 19+5: condition = 25 is not met
    2) text is exactly 20 characters, return 20+5: condition = 25 is met, OK!
    3) text is long > 20 characters, return 21+5: condition = 25 is not met

In tests I did it worked good
    is it broken now?

Oh wha-wait, what?? I changed it back to 21 and, it worked? I thought you set it to 21 for some testing purposes. I did not realize you set it to 21 actually had a purpose.

Okay, so I set the character count from +21, to +30, but it does NOT record then. However, it still records if its anything is in between 21 - 24. Can you tell me why this is?

Also, can you tell me why the day and month are inverted (says 6/12/2015 instead of 12/6/2015)? Is that a global thing?

mmmm, don't know why +30 doesn't work, theorically that should work too
maybe takes some text outside - below the chat area?
while 21 just stops right after...?
Should test a little to understand why.

..but why bothering, if +21 works

You can format time & date in any way you want,
    that's the european format: DD.MM.YYYY
if you want United States version: MM.DD.YYYY
    just invert month and day:

    + " - " + Str$( hours of( "Date & Time" ) ) + ":" + Str$( minutes of( "Date & Time" ) ) + " " + Str$( month of( "Date & Time" ) ) + "/" + Str$( day of month of( "Date & Time" ) ) + "/" + Str$( year of( "Date & Time" ) )

    EDIT:
actually, it seems DD.MM.YYYY is the most widespread format globally:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_format_by_country
    (cyan in the map)

    btw,
    in information technology,
it is strongly suggested using YYYYMMDD
(mostly if you want to post-process these dates, like in databases)
    because it is auto-sorting

Really? the year first, then month then day? or Year first, then day, then month?
    So, doing + Str$(year of( "Date & Time" ) ) + "/" + Str$(month of( "Date & Time" ) ) + "/" + Str$(day of month of( "Date & Time" ) ) will do YYYY/MM/DD

One thing I came across. Doing str(Hours) + str$(Minutes) + str$(seconds) gives a stopwatch effect? But probably not as good as using the date & time object.

Another thing I noticed, if the time is like 6:50, i think it displayed as 6:5. Something like 7:09 would display in the list as 7:9
It doesn't show one of the 0's in the time. Very odd.

Yeah, but if you need only to display those you'll be fine with whatever format you prefer.

hours/minutes/seconds are Fusion's own timings, taken from start of frame,
while date&time object gets hours/minutes/seconds from your system clock (the same you see in the windows taskbar)
so if you need a stopwatch, using system time should be a little more "solid", because it wouldn't depend on framerate

6:50 should come out as 6:50
while 6:05 should come out as 6:5
because all numbers come out as integer values

but if you need you can add trailing zeroes when needed,
    i.e. for hours:

    Left$("00",2-len(Str$(hours of( "Date & Time" )))) + Str$(hours of( "Date & Time" ))

Yea, there is a difference between 6:05, and 6:50. But if it records both times as 6:5, then that's going to be an issue.

Recording the time at 8:06, it records it as 20:6.
Recording the time at 8:10, it records it as 20:10.

So, this must be a GMT zone thing, i don't know. I guess it's right?

The next thing I would like to TRY to do is have the list automatically upload/update somewhere online, with a given FTP URL maybe? But I don't think that's a possibility. So like If I made it public, uploading the list of submissions would have to be different for everyone, depending on the user.

It's just a thought, it's nothing that important right now. Though I really appreciate all the help you gave me so far. It might give me a few ideas for some games that require chat command input like this.
