So, there isn't anything like condition: On FoundText$ + EditText("List") = Alterable String A of [Web Control Object] - ": !id" that would work to detect the next post read to ignore same ID's?

    Maybe I'm misunderstanding,

I think nearest thing would be the "Find" thing I was suggesting some posts ago,

    EditText("List") = Alterable String A

    can't be done,
    since "edit text"
    would be something like:

    user: 0000-0000-0000-0000 12:57 11/12/2015

    user: 0000-0000-0000-0001 12:59 11/12/2015

and "Alterable String A" would be something like: 0000-0000-0000-0000

thus can't be compared to a complex text like the whole edit box

Well, if 'Alterable String A' is only 0000-0000-0000-0000, can't you do another 'alterable string Z' to detect all ": !id" + 0000-0000-0000-0000? and compare alterable string Z with [web object] text found + 20 characters?

I'm sorry I think I'm not following this time

If you make some tests on this,
maybe you can upload them so I can finally realize what you're doing
(just for the sake of comprehension!)

Alright... SO, if the saved list.txt looks like this

    ----------------------------------------------------
    [Format]
    NMario84: 0000-0000-0000-0000 - Submitted at Hr:Min on YYYY/MM/DD

    NMario84: 1111-2222-3333-4444 - Submitted at 15:00 on 2015/12/11

    NMario84: 1A2B-3C4D-5E6F-7G8H - Submitted at 16:05 on 2015/12/12
    ----------------------------------------------------

The list.txt gets loaded at the start when you open the program.

So when I start another session using this, and someone else does !id 1111-2222-3333-4444 the next day, I want the program to read the text in list.txt, and read that 1111-2222-3333-4444 was posted in the chat room (using alterable string). If the alterable string saved is 1111-2222-3333-4444 matching the found text, do NOT post again, OR make a statement that the ID was already posted.

    Does that make sense?

Yeah, sure it does make sense,
but... I'm sorry if I repeat myself or not get something you're trying hard to explain..
...I think the best way would be using Find() function as stated above

    Like:

1- load previous session TXT in an additional edit box or whatever
    2- someone posts !id 1111-2222-3333-4444
3- you search for 1111-2222-3333-4444 in the previous session text editbox (or whatever) with Find() function
4- you find that it's been posted >> you don't repost this / make the statement

I don't get how would you do without the Find() function,
how can you compare a whole bunch of text (the previous session .txt) without some searching function?

Maybe you mean searching this text of previouse session with the WebControl object?
But for doing so you would have to load the previous session in another webpage,
and this would perform bad, much worse than a Find() on simple text.

If you want I can make a quick example on your last version, so maybe I can explain more clearly what I'm writing down.

Sure if you want to, this is the last version I have.

Don't know about the find() function. I never used it b4. I was assuming it was something along the lines of save an alterable string, then compare the list.txt, and compare findtext$ of web control object for any matching characters before triggering. :-/

Ok, so I took a look at your last version,
I think you would only need to add this condition in eventline 18:

    (compare two general values)
    + Find(Edittext$( "List" ), Right$(FoundText$( "Web Control Object" ), 20 ), 0 ) < 0

assuming that you will always load previous sessions in Edittext "List"
(otherwise you'll need an additional editbox to load previous sessions)

But I didn't test because don't want to spam your chat
I guess you can easily try & see..

    AWESOME. That worked!
Can you explain to me how this works? I assume the ", 20)" is to follow the #, which is the digit code submitted. Don't know what the ", 0)" is for though, and why using "is less than" 0, but it works.

So. There are LOTS of things I would like to try to do with this. But I think it would require more complications to do (like FTP'ing, uploading the updated list of submissions to a website, etc). But I think this was a REALLY good start.

Again. Thanks for the he help.

    Happy it worked!

This is how Find function works,
    it takes three parameters:

    Find(
1 - string to search into
we simply put the editbox text, since we want to search inside the editbox text = Edittext$( "List" )
    ,
2 - string to search for
we must search for the submitted code, to see if it's already been logged, so = Right$(FoundText$( "Web Control Object" ), 20 )
    ,
    3 - starting index
this is "where" you want your search to start from, in the string to search into, since we want to search from the start, we set it to 0
    )

the function outputs the number of character where the occurrence is being found,
so if the string to search for is found, it will give you the nth character where this found string begins inside the searched text
but if the string is not found, it returns -1

So, if we check for this value to be < 0
we simply check if this string is not found.
