    Hmm..... Interesting.

Besides that if some smart ass does something like this

"user: !id 0000-1111-2222-3333 hello: !id aaaa-bbbb-cccc-dddd" in the chat just to break the script, it actually comes out as

"!id 0000-1111-2222-3333 hello: aaaa-bbbb-cccc-dddd" posted on the same line. I guess there is no way to prevent this from happening.... or is there???

If I'm not mistaken (things start messing in my mind after some 7 pages of posts )
this should be due to the fact that you don't trim usernames

    to trim usernames,
you would have to do some string parsing with " " (spaces)
using the string tokenizer or string parser extensions

like, when the left side of "! id:" is acquired,
split this string with delimiter " "
and take "number of elements -1" element from the tokenizer ("-1" because it has 0 based index)
that would be the clean username

but in this way, you would probably end up something like this:

    user: 0000-1111-2222-3333

    hello: aaaa-bbbb-cccc-dddd

posting double content from a single line
don't know if this would be considered correct

what i'm saying is, someone could be a smart ass, and actually wrote "hello: !id......" INCLUDING the colon after hello, just to screw up the script. :P

So I don't really know how to prevent that from happening.

I see... there could be ways
(like adding +x to the current occurrence number counter when ": !id" is detected inside the right extract of the found text
    with a looped Find() function
where x=number of ": !id" found)

but maybe this would overcomplicate things and bad guys will anyway find other ways to screw things up

Yea. The only thing I can think of is, maybe to stop the script once it finds one instance of ": !id", and stop reading more ": !id" on the same line somehow. But then start the script up again when a new ": !id" is read on a new line in the chat room. Maybe there is a way to detect between multiple ': !id" posts on same line, or one on each individual line.

This is more or less what the idea I was describing above should do:

when more "! id" is found in the same search,
it modifies the search index adding number of "! id"s found,
so that on next search, starting from the updated index,
additional "! id"s would be skipped

Hi guys. I'm also looking for a way to get Twitch Chat Values and I think the Json object is the way to go.
I think the Web control object Refreshes the site you want values from, and a refreshed twitch chat is cleared, so there will never be any values to get.

I'm a noob to the topic and is just speculating.

So..... For whatever reason, this tool stopped recording the ID info on text... Maybe it was something that Twitch did? It was working fine back in 2015, now it decided to stop recording the chat log? I have no clue what the difference is, as I didn't make any major changes since last I checked.

This tool I made REALLY helped me, but now I guess I'll just have to do it the hard way, manually. :P
