How can I make an object change movement type mid game?

Hey guys, as you can probably tell, I'm working on a game and at one point it requires a change in movement type. Is this possible to pull off mid-game?

It depends on how you set the movement up. If you're using the built in movements, you can switch between them in the event editor by selecting the object and looking under the movement actions.

In the object's Movement Properties, to the right of Movement, click the +/- button and click the square icon on the right. Then, choose one of the movements and click the abc button on the right to rename them. Once you rename all of them, use the switcher next to the +/- button to switch between movements and configure them.

In the Event Editor, you can switch movements by Movement> Multiple Movements> Select Movement.

Alternatively if it was a custom movement, you would have the different movement types in separate groups, and have those groups activate or deactivate depending on a variable that changes.

EG, Value Movement Type = 0
    +Activate Group Movement Type 0
+ Deactivate Group Movement Type 1

    Value Movement Type = 1
    +Activate Group Movement Type 1
+ Deactivate Group Movement Type 0

Then it would be just figuring out when to change that variable to activate / deactivate groups
