play testing a game on android phone

In game maker (and other game engines), the developer can connect their phone or tablet via a microusb cable and when they hit the "play" button, the game immediattely then starts on the target device. Can multimedia fusion do this as well, or does one have to create an APK and manually copy it to the target device, then navigate to it and execute it manually.

I know it's not such a big deal, but it really is. Doing all this every time you make an iteration is a slow way to work.

I too would be interested in an answer to this.

As a compromise, at the moment I develop pretty much the whole thing in target Android device's resolution on the PC and then 'port' it to Android once all features are complete.

It's a real pain doing things like manually changing all .ini file paths, paths to backdrop images, etc. particularly when I then decide I want to go back to add features and need to port it 'back' to windows again!

Blurymind -- If you have the drivers installed and your phone set up right you can do build and run
This will cause Fusion to build an APK and launch it on your device.

Some people have a problem getting the drivers to work correctly (and it would be a problem in all the other software also) in those cases they need to build an APK to something like dropbox then launch it on their device.

I have all of the android drivers installed and working correctly. Build and run with game maker works. Build and run with clickteam fusion 2.5 does not work at all - nothing happens on my phone.

how many devices you have connected?

can you do a simple test

    open a cmd window,

and do: "adb devices", do you see only one? (fusion only work with one device connected not two)
    Regards,

I got it to work! The problem was that I should have clicked "build and run", rather than run layout (f7). Also It did not compile when using api23, I had to set it up to use api21 instead. I have a HTC one m7 phone.
