    Question Duplicated puck not adding to score after first throw.

    Hey Clickteam,

    Here is a mini shuffle board game I've been working on. I have one puck that is created for each throw. For some reason, when the first throw lands on a points square, the points are added but after the first throw it doesn't add any more points. I'm sure its something I'm overlooking. Just seeing if you can see what I'm missing. Thanks Clickteam!!!

    In your score 1 group of events, you have the partial condition/action:

    Flag 1 of Active 4 is off
    ->Set Flag 1 of Active 4 on

    This should be:

    Flag 1 of Puck is off
    -> Set Flag 1 of Puck on

    here is a much simpler way of doing it

    simply test for puck objects in your 3 scoreing areas, set a counter for each area and add them together for the score.

    Hey man that works great! You just saved me hours of time. . One thing though, for some reason when a puck lands on the first square which is worth one point, but then gets hit and promoted to a 5 or 10 point square or off the board completely, the counter still adds the one. I'm looking and testing new events but I can't put my finger on it.

    If you're set on zoning, I don't really have an idea for that, because you can't count the number of objects in a zone in a formula. You'd have to add line after line of "If number of pucks in zone 1 = 1 then do this, if they = 2 then do that, etc."

    but here's a way:

    Always:
    -> Set Counter to 0
    -> Puck - Count - For Each Object, Loop name "Point Count"
    -> Puck - Count - For Each Object, Loop name "Set Score"

    On each one of Puck, loop name "Point Count"
    -> Set Alterable Value A of Puck to 0

    On each one of Puck, loop name "Point Count"
    + Puck is overlapping 10 Point Object
    -> Set Alterable Value A of Puck to 10

    On each one of Puck, loop name "Point Count"
    + Puck is overlapping 5 Point Object
    -> Set Alterable Value A of Puck to 5

    On each one of Puck, loop name "Point Count"
    + Puck is overlapping 1 Point Object
    -> Set Alterable Value A of Puck to 1

    On each one of Puck, loop name "Set Score"
    -> Add Alterable Value A of Puck to Counter

    I suppose - but what if you have 7 pucks... or 12?? Could end up a nightmare.

    Hey Ziplock!

    Sorry for the late response. I've been experimenting with your code, my code, and Scilya's code. By far, your fast loop example provide's the best result with the cleanest code! Scilya was right on also, but for some strange reason, when two pucks that were butt up to each other on the board would be hit by another puck and promoted to a higher score, the score wouldn't keep up with the counter. So thank you Scilya and Ziplock for the help!!! When I'm finished I'll upload so anyone can play. It's pretty competitive! And awesome job Ziplock on your game!
