    Individual resizing of objects?

Is there a way to give instances of an object their own size?
When I make a copy of for example a quick backdrop and resize it the first instance get the same size (using the frame editor)

    please help!

Right click on your object (in the frame editor, not the object list) and look for the options "Duplicate" and "Clone".

"Cloning" objects creates a new instance, which is independent from the other objects and has its own entry in your object list. You can resize and even completely change cloned objects.

If you want to just make similar instances, use "Duplicate". Duplicated objects are all the same.

So if I would want to build a level for let's say a platform game, I'm gonna end up with a huge list of seperate object classes instead of just one object class. Will this not have a very negative effect on game performance, especially on mobile games?

Fusion can support thousands of backdrops/quick backdrops and actives per frame. The actual limit is in the properties of each frame, under "runtime options", and you can change it (the max is 20,000; good luck ever reaching that). I've never even hit modest limits such as 2000 unless I did something stupid like making a bunch of particles but forgetting to destroy them when they should be :P

Also, i'm fairly sure (but not certain) that merely having a large number of backdrops/actives shouldn't hurt mobile platforms. I was under the impression that certain normally fine calculations in regular fusion can be "heavy" for those and hurt performance. Somebody with experience on that subject should chime in if i'm incorrect.

for mobiles the larger the image the more intensive it is, for example

    mineexplosiongif.jpg

i am useing thbis file in the game i am working on, i origonaly want it it very big however this made the frame stutter, reduceing the size by 20% or so fixed the issue.
i think its in the documentation somewhere that haveing 5 smaller images is better than haveing one large one, but dont quote me on that.

*meh upload dident work it was meant to be a gif oh well lol

Thanks for all the great answers! I'm quite new to CF2.5 so I'm still in learning mode To put some pressure on my self I purchased the dev version along with exporters for android and iOS so now I better make this work hehe.
Does anyone know of any good, step by step videotutorials to get me going? So far on youtube I've found Amazing Sparckman but in those videos he just jumps into the middle of already started projects. Also found SnailOn but his videos are just very unfocused and disorienting. Even paid tutorials would be fine if not insanely exspensive.
