Hi

I have a problem with the Get object when sending POST containing acent like é.. à.. è.. ù..
I have to post very large type of caractere because I'm working of an android app that support arabic, russian, corean, spanish..

I know this question was still submitted http://community.clickteam.com/threads/66629-Posting-special-characters-with-Get-object?p=495924&viewfull=1#post495924 and another thread, but I can't find how to solv my problem...

for exemple I have a simple php script that write an email :

PHP Code:
<?php
$dest
$_POST['dest'];
$phrase1 $_POST['phrase1'];
$phrase2 $_POST['phrase2'];
$message $phrase1"\r\n" $phrase2;

$to      $dest;

$subject 'Test denvoi dun mail';

$message $message;

$headers 'From: noreply@hamdi-fouzai-art.com' "\r\n" .

'Reply-To: no-reply@hamdi-fouzai-art' "\r\n" .

'X-Mailer: PHP/' phpversion();

mail($to$subject$message$headers);

?>
When I send :
phrase1 (sentence1) = "Ceci est la première phrase à envoyer" (this is the first sentence to send.. in french)
phrase2 (sentence2) = "A t-elle été correctement envoyée?" (Is it correctly sended?)

I get :
Ceci est la premi?FFFFE8re phrase ?FFFFE0 envoyer
A t-elle ˙FFFFE9t˙FFFFE9 correctement envoy˙FFFFE9e?
Can anyone help me please? thank you very much for help

Hi have you tried changing the default php charset to UTF-8?

PHP Code:
$phase1 htmlentities$_POST['phrase1'] , ENT_COMPAT'UTF-8');
$phase2 htmlentities$_POST['phrase2'] , ENT_COMPAT'UTF-8');
or

PHP Code:
$message htmlentities$phrase1"\r\n" $phrase2 ENT_COMPAT'UTF-8');

Andy

Hi Gibbon
thank you for your answer

I tried your first code :
PHP Code:
$phase1 htmlentities$_POST['phrase1'] , ENT_COMPAT'UTF-8');
$phase2 htmlentities$_POST['phrase2'] , ENT_COMPAT'UTF-8');
I get a empty email...

with the second code :

PHP Code:
$message htmlentities$phrase1"\r\n" $phrase2 ENT_COMPAT'UTF-8');
I get:

Ceci est la premiÿFFFFE8re phrase ÿFFFFE0 envoyer
A t-elle ÿFFFFE9tÿFFFFE9 correctement envoyÿFFFFE9e?

I tried to with utf8_encode() and utf8_decode() tooit doesn't work....

it seem that iconv is more appropriate, but how to know what is the ISO of the Get object.... ?
