Including an exe in my mmf2 file.

    Hi all,

Wonder if i can get any advice? I've checked several threads without much luck.

Basically i have a windows app that can be used to change the default sound device. I use a utility called nircmd.exe to help with this.

However, i want to include this in my exported mmf file so that i just need to pass one file on instead of two for the app to work.

However, even when i add it to data elements/binary data - and also click include external files in the runtime properties - this doesn't work.

I need it to run as a command line.

    Am i doing something wrong?!

Hmmm.. yeah.. I'm seeing odd behaviour too. The extract process should dump the exe in the temp folder but it's not working.

I'm glad it's not just me then.

When I build the app it does mention an error that it won't be included in the app but the fact it's been added to the binary data shouldn't bring this error up..

    Have you followed this?
    http://download.clickteam.com/tutorials/en/binary-data.pdf

Alternatively, you could use the install creator, and include any extra files there.
Using the install creator you can choose what location each extra file should be extrated to uppon installation of the Application.

Thanks but that really only seems to work with ini files. The installer would be an option, but at the same time i might as well as just supply the .exe file along with my mmf.exe
