    Raycaster DOES NOT WORK PERIOD

So I've bought the Raycaster plugin, but the editor ALWAYS crashes upon using the open map or load texture dialogue if you're using Windows 8 or later.

Every user seems stuck on this step. Compatibility mode gets the program to open, but it's not functional at all when you can't load anything into the program.

There are currently zero solutions to this problem.

    Bump.

Any comments on it being broken and unusable in Windows 8?

Do you have the application properties display setting set to Standard?
I don't think the Raycaster works under the Direct 3D settings.

I've tried it and it doesn't work, but it shouldn't matter anyway since it's the map editor that crashes. It's an external program that comes with the plugin.

So is it working or not for you or is it the map editor?
We have quite a few people using it so I am not sure why you are having troubles with it.

What happens if you open the example file? Does that work for you?

I can't determine whether the plugin works since I haven't been able to create any maps.

The issue is that the external map editor works in all versions of Windows except for Windows 8. It will crash on boot unless you run it in Windows 95 or Windows 98 compatibility mode, but if you do run it in Windows 95 or Windows 98 compatibility mode it will crash as soon as you try to load a texture or a file.

I'm sure that a lot of people are able to use the plugin, but there are a lot of people on this forum that have reported the exact same issue, and no one has received a conclusive solution.

Figured out a crash in the map editor --- Will check with Chris on if he can update that app.

There must be some other ways to create the maps but I don't use this extension so I don't know.
Once I hear from Chris about I will get him to fix the problem.
