    Razer Forge control issues.

    Hi,

Thanks for the latest update, Clickteam!

I can confirm that the 'example' apps for OUYA and Android TV controllers now work at least partially.

I've been trying to build a Forge TV game, first using the OUYA object and then Android TV object (separately).

The OUYA object registers the d-pad and thumbstick as 'action' buttons, but doesn't allow for '8 direction' active movement.

The Android TV object works a bit better with '8 direction', but sometimes your object will move in one direction until another button is pressed.

For example, you'll press 'up' and when you take your thumb off, the player carries on going up to the top of the screen and carries on walking on the spot when he gets to the top. The only way to stop him moving is to press an action button, ie 'X'.

Sometimes the movement carries on through other screens!

Something else I've noticed when making a multiplayer game for Forge is that Android TV gamepads override OUYA controllers.

Say player 1 and 2 are using Android controllers and player 3 uses an OUYA gamepad, player 1 and 2 will control player 3's object, as well as their own.

Otherwise nice update, hope my comments help with future updates!

    Doki

mm doki, I will test but many things are not possible by the code like Sic

Sometimes the movement carries on through other screens!
every time a frame started, a reset frame action is issue and this blank the whole touch array.

so please can you post a small mfa in the bug report also after you post and later I will post a mfa used for testing which include 8 directions.
    Regards,

As the object is not working currently on Forge can you give an idea as to when the forge tv object will be released?

Hi, this is my multiplayer test - https://www.dropbox.com/s/kj6brd2z1j...ayers.mfa?dl=0

If I use OUYA controllers, it all gets a bit messy with controlling each other's players.

Hopefully Razer will be lenient seeing as they're phasing out OUYA support.

When using a Razer controller, that's when the direction movement doesn't stop.

    Here's another example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/eisgk24lplhffzo/Doki%208%20direction%20test.apk?dl=0

I don't think there's any problem with the events, I'm scratching my head a bit with this!

    Thanks very much, Doki.

I'm sorry, do you mean try the ouya object instead of the android tv object for the forge?

I haven't had 8 directions moving at all with the OUYA object.

I don't think I'm supposed to use both?

    Thanks.

Oops! Sorry. Here's the OUYA object version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9rk9thjnx8zv6lu/four%20players%20ouya.mfa?dl=0

    Android TV object: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1q75q4e9lk...%20tv.mfa?dl=0

I did test with your examples, and they work. The problem I'm having is with 8 direction movement (in Active object properties).

I think the 'repeat until another button pressed' behaviour is down to how my Razer controller works with the Forge TV.

The OUYA controller moves player 1 perfectly with the Forge using the Android TV object, it just gets messy when there's more players.

    Thanks.
