    Platform movement have the auto-fire?

    Why if I hold the jump button the object jumping without stop?
    If I want a jump only when the button 1 is pressed (like Mario) how to it?

    Note: I using the standard platform movement

    I'm not sure there's a direct non-horribly-convolute way to do that
    (like "fixing" your player position upon second jump-key detection / disabling jump key / whatever..)
    but I'd be happy to hear I'm missing something more simple and evident

    you could try Physics platform movement,
    which doesn't suffer from this and also allows you to select the number of "jumps" you can do

    and the Platform Movement Object extension, which is quite popular across the forum

    I also suggest trying PMO (Platform Movement Object). It is customizable, easy to use (there are lot of examples too) and light years ahead of standard platform movement.

    Have you checked the supplied documentation?
    Just click the "help" button in the "about" properties tab of the PMO (from the frame editor)
    should be enough to start
