    Monster truck game issue

    Hi All,
I am hoping one of you can help a noob

I am just testing a monster truck "game" and I am having a problem with flicker when the truck gets repositioned once 1.5 times the width of the frame is reached. I think it has something to do with the joints that hold the wheels on the truck.. on the first reposition of the truck, i set the truck Z-order to go forward so that you can see there is slack/movement at the joints, pinning the tires to the truck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have attached the MFA for what i have. ok its 2.6 MB apparently thats too large to upload.

    Heres a link

Is the purpose of re positioning to make this an endless driver type of game?

I have found the best results in endless type of games to scroll the background but I have never tried it with the ground object.
I will play around a bit more and see if I can figure out how to reduce that flicker.
Wonder if the calculations on the frame size are slowish.

The file above is also missing the ground graphic -- It might be a good advice to import that in rather then use an active picture.

Woo hoo. I finally got it. Here's what I did:
I deleted both joint objects and the physics engine. Then added the physics engine and joint back. Duplicated the joint for the front wheel

I then changed the hotspot and action point to right center

I also added an event: when truck collided with background - stop

That did it. No more flicker.

    Thanks Jeff appreciate your advice!!!

Thanks to uppernate too. You've been super nice and helpful!!

Ok now to make some good stuff

    -Eric

Thanks for the update and I like the smoke effect you did in your truck!
