    Frame rate question, please help!

    Hello!

I created my game some years ago. The default frame rate was 50 so I used that. All animations are played with the speed set in the animation editor. Now, years later, my game (especially player movement) is not smooth anymore. Changing frame rate to 60 instead of 50 fixes that BUT all animations are too fast now and sometimes something is messed up as I use commands just like "animation is over -> then do something".

How can I use a frame rate of 60 (game properties) but adjust all animation speed in the game in one go? So the animations aren't played back too quickly?

I don't know how many objects you have with animations of course but one way could be to make a global value/counter set to 40 for example and then set the animationspeed of the objects to that value. This might be a tedious way if you have alot of objects though but maybe someone else can chime in on this subject :-)

Thanks. No, it's not possible. I have many objects and a lot of frames/levels...it would take weeks.

Have you tried checking the V-Sync option in properties? That should smooth out rough movement.
