    Question Play sample from binary using expression

    Hi guys, I've been trying to figure this out for a while now, I currently got 2 samples in my app's Binary Data and I want to play one using a combobox text and the expression editor.

    I want this to work on android eventually but for now I'm trying to get it working on windows, I would have thought this would be quite an easy thing to do but I'm confused by why it doesn't work.

    What are you using to play them? I had a similar routine which relied on the Sound Player Object to play the files via expression. I never was able to figure out the right way to add/read from binary, so I just had an even at the start of frame "Stop playing yoursound.wav" for each sound file I needed the program to contain.

    I'm using the standard sound options, I have figured out how to get it working within windows but Android and flash are not...

    Seems to me like this is a bug in the way of how the exporters read the sounds from binary data, I even contemplated having the sounds in the application directory but have them downloaded and stored on the device once needed bet that would require a file server of sorts.

    Play sample from binary using expression

    Have you read Clickteam's PDF on binary stuff? I don't have an answer but I do recall the operations being different for each runtime.

    I've decided to do the samples as normal. Just makes more work but got a working audio player sub app for my app.
