    Need help creating event for Jump sound, please read (simple n00b question)

    I am relatively new to CTF2.5, I came from Construct 2 and I am having trouble finding how this event equates from C2 to CTF2.5.

    My game is a platformer.

    When my character jumps, I want the jump sound to play

    Jump is mapped to Ctrl (Which I don't like and I'd like to change to Z but I can't figure that out yet so any help here would be helpful)

    I sent the event to be when Ctrl is pressed, play Sound clip "Jump"

    I feel that's not the most efficient way to do that, please let me know if I'm mistaken

    The problem is that I can press Ctrl 5 times while the hero is in the air and it keeps making the sound, which is to be expected based on my event system.

    In C2, there was an event called "is grounded" that would be used in this scenario. What is the equivalent in CTF 2.5?

    1) welcome aboard!

    2) you can map those controls in project properties - runtime options - default controls - "edit",
    and let the player remap controls on his own from the top menu during play if you want

    3) there is no "is grounded" event in CTF, though you can create a similar response with some coding.
    Here's a quick solution if you use builtin movements (you set platform movement to your character right?)

    a) add an animation in the "jumping" slot of your player, if you didn't already (Fusion will automatically switch to that when jumping)

    b) add this contition:

    player animation "jumping" is playing
    +only one action when event loops
    >>> play sample "jump"

    there are far more advanced solutions, but this could be already fine for your needs
