    Keep Flag Toggle Between Frames

Need a little help figuring something out. I have set up a flag toggle in order to turn on and off a player effect. Kind of like a flashlight. My question is, how do I keep the effect working between frames? I toggle it on but then when I go to another room it's back to off. Thanks for the help.

    Use a Global Value IE

Global Value A=1 the player effect whatever.

    Global Values carry over frames.

Or change the object with the flag to a "global object". You can do that in the object's properties. Then make sure you have a copy of the object in every frame you need the flag.

Thanks for the reply. My problem with that option is that I cant (or don't know how) to make the effect turn off by pressing the same key. I used a flag because I could toggle it.
