Objects created in Event Editor vs Frame Editor

    Hi there.

I've just noticed that Active Objects created through "Insert Object" inside Frame Editor cannot interact with objects created through Event Editor.
Is it normal or was it me doing something wrong?
And if it is normal, then am I supposed to create object inside Frame Editor, then destroy it and create it once again inside event editor in order for it to i.e. collide with other objects created inside event editor?

    No, this doesn't happen,
it's likely you are misinterpreting something

What are you doing in the event editor to make these objects interact with each other?

I am checking If these two collided

And that's how I am creating monsters

And it works only if both of them, ball and monsters, are created through event editor.

And if I create ball in event editor it won't collide with "pipes" I've created as active objects in frame editor. And so on.
Objects created in frame editor collides only with objects created in frame editor and vice versa with event editor.

couple questions to narrow down more common causes:

question 1: are you working with multiple layers - and placing your objects in "layer1" in the frame editor?

question 2: are the objects exactly the same --> "bunny" and "gem" you create in events, are "bunny" and "gem" you place in the frame editor, and not, say, "bunny 1" and "gem 1")

I was creating objects on a background layer inside my event editor. That's why they wouldn't collide. Now it works, thank you very much I appreciate it.

So in order for two objects two interact with each other they have to be on the same layer?

    Yes, exactly
collision events (A collides with B, and A overlaps B) won't trigger when A and B are on different layers

Not that this is a perfect solution, yet you can make a dummy invisible active at layer one - always positioned at the same position to the active on layer 2.
