Do identical objects and backdrops in different frames share the same images inmemory

Developing for J2ME is a heavy job due to memory limitations. I wonder if copying and pasting objects and backdrops across frames also copy the images and thus cause a big fat memory waste or does it only pass a pointer to the objects' and backdrops' image data. Does anyone know for sure? If it's the former, is there a way of dynamically loading levels and using only one frame for the gameplay?

I think i read somewhere in an old thread but i'm not 100% sure, that duplicated objects doesn't use up extra memory/resources. I had 1 large animated object...saved the project file and it took 2,5 mb of space...then i duplicated that object twice so there was 3 large objects and the only increase in filesize was the extra objects (a few kb) if i remember correctly so it seems that fusion only counts those images once but it would be great to get this confirmed
