Hi Emerson3, you can save a billion things in an ini object if you want to. For simplicity's sake let's say the val of global A = 5 and B = 100.

You'd just set it up like-

    (write to ini)

Set "Values / Globals / (Global val A)"
Set "Values / Globals / (Global val B)"

And so on. Then when you wanted to retrieve the info it'd be the same idea:

Set Global val A to "(ini object, Values / Globals / Global val A)" and etc.

The result for the ini would look like this:

    [Values]
    [Globals]
    5
    100

Keep in mind if you're using ini objects as save files you might also want to eventually add encryption with the blowfish object so that people can't easily cheat. But this is also why ini objects are so cool to use, because you yourself can easily go into them to adjust gameplay settings and stats and it helps debugging and testing things out a ton.

    Thanks Del_Duio,

That is so helpful! Great example! One quick question. I'm making this game for Iphone. Could someone still access INI on an Iphone to cheat?

Not unless the iPhone is jailbroken so they have some way to access the file tree (like using iFile). Maybe you can encrypt it too somehow.

Yeah i never got anywhere with blowfish so i made my own encryption system. Now my ini gets filled with really weird symbols and is completely unreadable but i made a decryption thingie too of course...without any difficult extensions :-D

    Hey Klownzilla,

Are you willing to share your encryption system? If not, I totally understand!
