I can't remember if I asked about this before but one thing I'd find useful is the possibiity to link a specific sound to an animated frame, so instead of having to add the code, for example "Animation walking is playing" + Animation frame = 5 (Footstep sound) the footstep soundeffect is already linked in the animation editor

Hey guys! Thanks for the replies. Encrypted ini was an option I was considering! It's been a while since i worked with the ini object though. How do I save a listfile through the ini++ object with encryption? If it's not too complicated to explain I'd be very grateful if someone could answer this

Hej folks! I'm having some troubles here. Well I think I CAN get it done but my way is not the best option, plus it would allow people to simply edit the lists themselves. Anyway...I want the player to be able to search drawers, boxes, chests etc. in my game and when you search a drawer for example, a list should appear with some random loot (No problems here at all) BUT! Let's say you decide not to take anything, then the list shouldn't be randomized the next time you interact with the drawer, the randomzied loot should be "locked" to that drawer. If you take 2/3 items, the third should remain inside the drawer. Is there anyway I can do that without having to save a crapload of listfiles that would be saved and loaded at runtime?

I don't know if anyone else would care about this but I would like to be able to manually set the hotspot wherever I want when importing images, not only the options "Top-left, Bottom-right" etc.

Ok so I sent the game to a buddy and there was no weird animations on his side he said so....no worries I guess....if it's just on my computer I don't care about it

Just thought I should post an over due update here. I just did a screen recording of the game...and the animation "seizure" is not present in the video at all. That seems weird to me. In the built exe the feet still looks like they are shaking while he walks :-/

One problem I see with this. If sprites can be modified, the hotspots could become completely off unless they modified them in the exact same size as the original sprite.

Can't you put the hitbox/animations in the "Disappearing" animation? Then I think it should automatially be detroyed when the animation is over

Hmm it could be microstuttering I guess. Can you do something about that? Oh and yes I've tried V-sync

I'll see if i can get it on a screen recording. Tried to take printscreen but you don't see it then, only while playing. I've tried dx8,9,11 and standard. Same issue. Gonna try windowed mode though and see if that helps

I noticed that when my player character is walking, the feet looks like they're having a seizure almost and becomes kind of blurry. The animation itself does not look like that when I view it in the animation editor. For some reason it seems to be more noticable when you walk either left or right (32 direction walkcycle) is that what you call a screen tearing issue or something else? -
I think occlusion culling would be a nice feature as well (If that's what I mean hehe) rendering tree leaves looks quite crappy in firefly. Backface culling removes a lot and frontface makes it just look weird. That and the memory leak needs to be fixed IMO. Firefly wasn't the cheapest thing to buy in the first place so you can't help to feel a little ripped off now when there's zero support for it. I really hope you can find someone to work on this
