i have no hope anymore on wmv extension, now the next gen will come and how can it be used this software? should i buy another extension? better program the tool all by myself at this point i have gained enough experience on coding...

why not? xna run on directx 9 like the application that run on windows for mmf2.
on xna you got the rendertotexture object that allow you to get the image drawed on screen and redraw on another spritebatch with an effect applied to it this could be used to apply a postproduction effect on the entire frame. -
I've tried to put the monochrome effect on a layer for my xna project i had set for Display Mode : Direct3D 9, when i run the application from mmf it's all right the image goes monochrome but when i have built the project in the content the effect has been exported as mono.fx file but when i run the project the effect seems not to be applied on layer, it would be really nice also that a effect could be used on all the frame to include all the layers to got the same effect.

you have to be connected to xbox live with a premium account from app hub to test on xbox so the internet connection is necessary.

I followed the istruction in the help on the mmfsdk it's and build the mfx now in the standalone project my new extension appear but when i switch to xna disappear...

Ok i'm in strong need to have the wmv object so i've downloaded the extension sdk for xna kinda understood how the active-backdrop extension works in substance we have a cycle of pictures that in the startup method are extracts as a collection of short by the CFile class object, then in the draw method they are drawn as a simple xna texture2d so i think we can create a new extension that put a video object and a videoplayer object from Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Media but i need to convert the cfile that is loaded to a Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Media.video object, how can i do that?

the tool it's really powerful but I think this is a huge limit for whom want to exploit to the max the tool itself, please give us a time of an update.
I bought this extension and as i expected it's amazing but this limits all the developpers and so the absence of a wmv player it's quite odd.
I renew my compliments for this great tool, I love it and I'm happy to have bought it. -

first of all thank You, I follow you since klik & play came out, your software is amazing and the release of the xna extension is a wonderful news.
I've developped few games for xna already and I have some questions about the exporting of the project that may need of some adjustment.
first of all i tried to export a simple platform game i developped with many active object with several animations, i've noticed that each frame is a single images, is a good thing?
in a older project all coded in c#, i was forced to use animation strips for two reason the first is the ram of the 360 that is really low, the second one were the loading time that if there are a lot of images stretches to a really long and painful waiting times, your extension how does manage the loading of all this images?
in that case could be possible to have an update where the active object are exported in animation strip and interpreted by the xna extension?
second in the process of switching frame levels there is the chance to put a loading screen?
if yes how? -

hello, i would like to put a wmv file in my mmf project as intro or ending fmv how can i do that?
