Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!
I asked about having my Flash/iOS exporters connected to my account (I had to create a new one, as the new system didn't have me in it, when purchasing Fusion 2.5)...
I sent a support ticket and Jeff told me:
"We will be posting those Friday in the forums.
Jeff Vance"
I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I guess, something on how to update/add them to my account.
Cool! I think something which needs fixing is that it won't let you move left and jump at the same time. If I could do that I'd enjoy the game a lot more
Yeah, I too have found the controls a little bit incorrect/not responding how I'd expect.
It's good to hear that progress is steady. I started a Kickstarter for my game yesterday and one of the more common questions I receive is whether or not we're releasing on OUYA, which uses an Android runtime.
How likely is it that the exporter will be ready 1 and a half years from now? That's probably when I'll be ready to start exporting to other platforms.
Strife,
You should put your Kickstarter link here, because you need promotion and it would allow others to support ya if they want.
As well as what everyone else has said, i would think it might be handy to have game templates. Sure a lot of experienced people wouldn't need them but it would ease newcomers in quite well.
Perhaps a better tutorial system as well - the MMF2 included tutorial is okay but is very basic. Tutorials for several types of games or applications could be included to teach whilst the user gets to do follow along. I don't think new users should have to go to youtube to learn the basics really.
I have to agree. I wish there was a more solid education/learning system other than some here and there tutorials. Heck, I'd pay for a monthly issue of Klikdisc like the magazines back in the day where I'd type by hand he code so I could learn what the program was doing.
Don't bump necro'd threads. The topic is long gone and shouldn't have been brought back in the first place.
Hah.. Jacob..
You are assuming people know what is, or what is not going on with this. I replied because I found it, didn't know the status of it, so I gave my vote...
So, that's not really a bump. A bump is when someone uses "bump" only... In my opinion.
Replying to a topic, is simply a reply (not a bump).
I could add a lot, but the two main things that would benefit the growing MMF community (and I'd say necessary to attract new blood):
1. Physics
2. Particles
I mean a "real" particle system. That covers lots of types (and configurable so that users can share effect designs, fire, smoke, sparks, explosions, etc.)
happygreenfrog I disagree that we have those already. Pseudo physics/particles (workarounds) are not really, "the real deal". (See note below).
Outcast & Shawn: Yes, cross platform is another specific detail I left out. I do mean iOS/Android. (Though most of my stuff will be iOS, of course until Android exporter comes out.)
Anyone have any example for the look of old school vector games, like:

Looking to get the vector look with the slight glow that comes with it. (You really can't tell from the videos, but for those of you "blessed" ;D to have seen these in person know what I'm talking about. The lines are bright.
--------------- Question 2 ---------------
Anyone have any example for the look of neon-like glowing lines (different than old school vector graphics), like:
It's about the 5th entry along if you search, it might still be filtering through into the store in your region however.
Within my region, now that's interesting. I could understand within my "country" ... Interesting to see how the APP Store is... I will check again tomorrow to se if it updates...
I've already played the BAR level... pretty cool... I'll be playing some more...
I really like the controls (buttons specifically), how they seem real, etc.
* Update: Ah, I see you are from Australia, so yeah "region", I guess you mean as "country".
The Movements in MMF2, besides the more recent Clickteam Movements controlled by the Clickteam Movement Controller object, are provided only for backwards compatibility purposes with TGF1 and MMF1/1.5. They are not intended to be used in MMF2 anymore, though you can use them for quick tests and prototypes/mockups.
Quite an interesting post, I've never seen anyone from CT make that as a comment or even have that in the Manual.pdf etc.
So, if that is correct ... What other things are only for backwards compatibility and what are the new equivalent/replacement functions?
Ok, well it makes more sense knowing that behaviors came (were added) after qualifiers, as my thinking (being new to MMF), was that they were in there at the same time (release date .. More or less)... So it makes more sense that it's (almost) like behaviors replaces them.
I too agree that the global idea makes a lot of sense. Not only for original coding, but for having to go back in the future.
* I believe in efficient coding, but sometimes the time it takes to create the efficiency, it's not worth the few micro-seconds you shave off. Now, if you are coding a piece of medical equipment, I'd hope you'd use machine code and not an interpreted language.
