Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

I unpublished my app for now, so unfortunately i can't provide a link.

I installed your app on 2 tablets; i couldn't install it on my archos tablet (it says the device is not compatible with the app).
    Here are the images:

Please login to see this link.

On the archos tablet (8 inches) and the lenovo tablet (10 inches), the application is marked (in french) as "Application conçue pour les téléphones" which means in English "Application designed for phones".
The iconia 7 inches tablet has no tag, maybe because the "real" screen size is not 7 inches but 6.86 inches.

The app works great on tablets. Actually the tag doesn't prevent the user from installing the app on their tablets (proof, i was able to install it), but it could have a dissuasive effect. And it's not a good thing for those who plan to dstribute their app on tablets too.

Google play has now a section/area for tablets ("designed for tablets" section), and if you want your application to be included in that section,it must meet all the "designed for tablets" criteria.
Here is a link of the annoucement/explanation of the Tablet changes in Google Play:

To Olivier, in my case the problem was only criteria number 4; they did not say anything about criteria number 10, so i don't know much about it.
I totally understand you, if you are willing to distribute your app on tablets too, then this topic/issue is important.

But they did mark my application as "designed only for phones" and i do want my application to also have the tag "designed for tablets". The person from google support who emailed me clearly said my application has to meet criteria number 4 of the tablet app quality checklist to be marked as "designed for tablets". Criteria number 4 is about icons densities/sizes.

I will wait until Monday for the test.

    Thank you.

Fernando, can you please help me?

I would like my app to be marked as "designed for tablets". For that, i need to include different sizes of the launcher icon in my APK.
    I also received an email from google support (basically the mail says the same thing as in the developer console); they sent me the link of the tablet app quality checklist and this is what they say;
"Please visit this link and concentrate your efforts on the following:

    4. Use assets that are designed for tablets screen"

I published an application on the play store and i just got a "Design your app for tablets" notification
(in the optimization tips page of the developer console):
"Your APK Should include custom Drawables assets for common tablet screen densities."

They gave me this "learn more" link
Please login to see this link.

It seems they are requesting additional icons in different densities/sizes.

But in the android property we can only add one launcher icon in 96*96 px.

How do i add additional launcher icons in my application?

Currently my application is marked as "designed only for phones".
BTW, i got the same notification today for an application i published 10 months ago. During 10 months
i did not receive any alert/issue/notification of this type. Maybe they have changed their rules...

Thank you in advance for your answers!

The behaviour of the edit box has obviously changed with the latest build (283.0/283.1):

With build 282.3, if you uncheck "Use default font size" and set the font size in the edit box property,
the text size will look pretty much the same no matter the screen size of the device; the "physical" size is pretty much preserved.
Here is a link of pictures with 5 different screen sizes:

I thought by reducing the size from 26 to 14 in build 283.0, the text size would look pretty much the same on every device, like in build 282.3.
But with build 283.0, if you uncheck "Use default font size" and set the font size in the edit box property, the text size on a small screen
will look WAY bigger than the text size on a large screen. Actually, the smaller the device screen, the bigger the font size looks (or the bigger the device screen, the smaller the font size looks). Here is a link of pictures :

With this latest build, the edit box font size has become VERY dependant on the device screen size (which was not the case in previous builds), and that's an issue. It would be great if this could be fixed!

By the way, i would like to add that build 283.0 solved the crash problem i had from time to time in my application, so thank you!

Many thanks for your example , i learned something!

With your example i know that the default font on my smartphone is 28 and 17 on my tablet.(my computer is running build 283.0)
But why does the size look bigger in build 283.0 ? i assume that if the default font is 28 it should look the same no matter the build.

i don't use the default font in my application; this property is unchecked , i set the font size of the edit box in the properties.
Same question: if i set the font size to 26, why does it look so big in build 283 compared to build 282.3?

I tried to test my application with the latest Beta Builds (283.0 and 283.1) and i noticed that the edit box font size looks different from build 282.3
Here are 2 screenshots of the edit box on a smartphone (moto g), one under build 282.3 and the other under build 283.0
"Use system font in text objects" is unchecked
Please login to see this link.

There is a really big difference (i had to reduce the size from 26 to 14 to have the same look as in build 282.3,
but the problem is a 14 font size looks VERY small on my 7" tablet)

Here are 2 screenshots on a 7" tablet (Iconia one 7)
"Use system font in text objects" is unchecked
Please login to see this link.

I tried to check "Use system font in text objects",(this property normaly remains unchecked in my application) and this is what i had:
    On my smartphone:
Please login to see this link.

    On my tablet:
Please login to see this link.

I don't know if it's important, but i noticed that (based on my devices): the edit box font size under build 283.0 and WITH "Use system font in text objects" unchecked looks exactly the same as in build 282.3 but WITH "Use system font in text objects" checked. (just compare the images)

I don't know if this happens only on my devices. Has anyone else experienced this? Any answer would be appreciated!

Thank you for your answer Fernando.

But is that program causing the application to stop?

I assume that if a program (on my device) requesting the navigation bar is causing the application to end, then the application should end no matter the build version.
So i uninstalled the android exporter and reinstalled build version 282.0
I tested the application again and i confirm what i said previously: the application does not stop/end with build 282.0, this problem only appears with latest builds (282.2b and 282.2e).

I unchecked "use default system font" in android properties (i think i forgot to do it) and this is what i noticed:
1- If i set a font size in the combo properties, the text is properly displayed in the combo (even with a big size font). So this is a really great improvement.
2- If i try to change/increase the font size in an event, the text is not displayed properly; actually the text is resized but not the combo.

    I hope this helps! Thanks

    Thank you for answering.

My computer is running Build 282.3 which i think is the latest official version for CF 2.5

And the latest official version for the Android exporter is Build 282.0
Build 282.2e is the latest Beta version for the Android exporter, this is the version that is currently installed on my computer.

Please correct me if i'm wrong.
