Ok, but let's admit I don't want to use a database, and just want to load and save a ".mfs" file storing my array. Is that possible ?
Creating a database sounds heavy for what I mean to do.

MTCMusic, when you say it is saved on user's machine, do you mean using cookies or do you really allow player to save on their machine ? If so, how do you do it ? Is it possible with Array ?
Let's admit I want to allow people to save/load files from servers, is it possible ?
I also would have loved to know ! If you discovered, can you give us some feedback ?
Hello,
I have a question about the ability to save and load with HTML5 application. I want to create the simplest database possible for my application but I don't know how.
My search led me to understand that in order to create a database I need to use mySql or something like that, implying I need to buy a server.
But, let's assume that I only have Netlify to host my app and Google Drive to host my database (which I would like to be an Excel or Google Sheet), how could I connect both so I can save and load from one another.
Is it possible ? What is the simplest database I can create ?
Thanks in advance
It worked ! Thank you very much !

Ok thank you ! I used an other rich edit object which I give focus in order to make my first REO lose focus. But now that I read you and that I discovered I can unable REO to change color when deactivated, I will go for your solution.
Hello, I also need an alternative to the rich edit object which could be transparent and whose text could be modified without having to give them the focus. I know this is an old post but I am searching everywhere I can
Hello,
I am currently working on some sort of text editor and I'd like my users to be able to edit some rich text. For this, I am obviously using the REO but I have an issue.
I wnat them to type what they want in an Rich Edit Object, then I want that text to be writtent in an other Rich Edit Object in real time. But to do so, I have found only one way. When REO 1 is modified, I select all text from REO 2, set REO 2 RTF text to REO 1, set "REO 1 text modified ?" to no, and set back the focus to REO 1.
This, regardless it is a complex way to do something that should be simple, causes my text to be highlighted everytime "select all" is triggered.
Isn't there a way to easily set RTF text without just adding text ? Why does Rich Edit Object add text when we ask him to "set text" ?
If anyone has a solution, I would really appreciate, I am desperate...
Thanks
Hello, have anyone find a way to put those kind of object on the bottom instead of the top ? I am using rich edit objects and I need them to be behind actives sometimes
I'd also like to know, if someone has the answer...
Hello, can we have a better explanation of that solution please ?
I also need to be able to interact with only parts of the sentence and not set bold all the string.
Hello, please could you give the right answer to that question ?
I am looking for it for days and no one explains it correctly...
Bonjour,
Je me permets de relancer ce sujet pour savoir si une solution a été trouvé depuis car il semblerait que 8 ans plus tard, le soucis persiste.
I guess you're completely right... I remeber I used to test these objects but they didn't fit my needs. At least, that's what I thought... The major issue was that hey would always display "in front" or that they couldn't be clickable, but neither is the string object.
Following your answer I tried Active System Box again and it seems to perfectly suits the requirements of my project.
Thank you for your answer. I'll come back here if needed, as I don't know a lot about these objects.
Hello everybody,
I'd like to prevent my string object from adjusting to text size. I need to use the string object for multiple reasons.
I use it to dynimacally display texts. These texts can change therefore, be longer or shorter. I display my string object overlapping some other objects that never move. If the text becomes too long, I don't want it to overflow from the static object.
So, how can I restrain the text to the string box size ?
Thanks in advance for your answers =)
Please login to see this attachment.
I understand it's not working on DropBox, but is it working on Google Drive ? For now I can't test on a regular server so I'm trying alternatives.
Oh nice one ! Thank you, I did it an other way, using a Global Value to which I substract 1 every second and it works well too. Your example is really interesting though
Could you repost the example plz ?
