Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

I have code that creates new objects and assigns a random colour using Effect > Set RGB coefficient.

It works fine in the Windows build but not in the HTML5 build. Reading around in the forums suggests that this is a limitation re HWA features in HTML5 rather than something I'm doing wrong.

My question is - does anyone know of a way of achieving similar results that would work in HTML5?

'Mice While It Lasted' - a mouse in a maze of microgames. Made for Mouse in the Maze 60th Anniversary Jam on Glorious Trainwrecks.
After feedback elsewehere, new version uploaded - some (hopefully final) changes and bug fixes to my happy game.

    Playable in browser btw.

I've made a happy game to cheer up this dull time of year. It's a silly little thing made for Mouse In The Maze 60th Anniversary Jam on Glorious Trainwrecks. I don't often post about my released games on here as they can be ... um ... an acquired taste but I thought this one might possibly brighten your day so here you go.

    Hello again!

I really appreciate all the effort you've put into this. I still have this horrible feeling that it's going to turn out to be something stupidly obvious that I'm failing to grasp. But it isn't the zoom. I had already thought it might be that but no - zoom is at 100%.

Here's my video which shows approximately 1280x960:

I think we might be talking at cross purposes here. The aspect ratio is not the problem. The aspect ratio is fine. I have a game where the window size is 1024x768. When I build and run the exe it runs as 1024x768. When I build and run the html version it displays in the browser at 1280x960. I want the browser version to display as 1024x768.

My game window size is 1024x768

When I build and run the html version it appears in the browser at 1280x960

How do I prevent this? I.e. How do I get the game window to be 1024x768 in the browser?

Sorry if I'm being dense. I have tried searching and reading various posts but I seem just to get more confused. So I'd be very grateful if someone could explain this to me as simply as possible.

I've made a silly little thing for the Weirder Stuff 2 gamejam on itch.io. I make no great claims - undying art it ain't but I'm rather fond of it so please have a play if you have a little time to spare.

The theme for the jam was '80's flavored paranormal' and my game is called 'Ghost Town Girls'.

Find it here: Please login to see this link.

Let me know if you find any bugs - gamejam deadline didn't allow much time for testing.

Early days of trying to get to grips with firefly so please bear with me. Been through chocobreak tutorial.

I'm trying to figure out sprites. I'm adding a billboard node to my frame and then at frame start I'm loading a material from the material cache onto the billboard. I think I'm right so far?

What I can't figure out is how to have transparency in the sprite.

Also I assume that there is no built in functionality for animated sprites?

I bought it. No idea if it's any good or not but I feel a bit guilty about how much fun I've had with MMF for so little money - I bought 2 and 2.5 in Humble Bundles - so I'm happy to chuck a few quid at clickteam in exchange for a few hours mucking about with new toys even if I never end up using them. I'll have a dig around in the firefly stuff on library.clickteam.com and see what I come up with.

Thanks for the advice Yves. I did what you said but no error was showing in the console so I really don't know what was going on. I had to stop testing as something about the adverts being served on Gamejolt affected my PC so badly it was bluescreening.

In the end I went ahead and uploaded the silly little gamejam game today. It seems to work OK in Firefox and Chrome - for me at least, on Windows 7 32 bit. But just freezes after loading on IE.

If anyone cares to have a look it's here:

I've just released my first Fusion 2.5 game - also my first game playable in a browser. It's a very silly thing made in a couple of days for a gamejam in which you have to make a game inspired by the truly dreadful 2003 film 'The Room'

Please play and let me know if it works and what you think. If it doesn't work for you I'd be grateful if you'd let me know what browser and/or OS you're using. Downloadable Windows version available if HTML5 version won't work.

I'm planning on making a small game for a gamejam on Gamejolt. First time I've made something in HTML5 using Fusion 2.5. Thought I'd test how deployment works by uploading a simple test app. It works fine on itch.io in Firefox, IE and Chrome. But on Gamejolt it only works reliably in Firefox. In Chrome it freezes after loading more often than not and always on IE. Anyone had similar issues? If so was there a solution?

    Hello Clickteam forum folk.

Haven't posted here before but I've used these forums to find help for the last couple of years. The fact that so much help is available in the archives here has meant that any queries I've had so far have been answered by a bit of searching - so thanks for that!

I'm currently making a game with Fusion 2.5 for the first time. Just a little thing - the whole game will only last 59 seconds! I reckon I'm about 25% done and will probably be finished sometime in January. Are there people here who would be kind enough to test my game before I release it? Want to know if it works OK on different versions of Windows. Also I'm aiming for a game that is pretty much intuitive so would like to know if there are any aspects of gameplay that aren't immediately obvious.

So, as I say, not done yet but you know how it is ... wanting to show off your new pet project and all that so ...

Here's a gif of the opening sequence:

And this here is a scribbled storyboard for the whole game. I found doing this really useful.

I have previously made three games with MMF2 that I posted on Glorious Trainwrecks. They're a bit shall we say ... erm ... experimental. The new one will be a little more mainstream and gamelike - promise. Anyhow here are some screenshots from those:
