Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Yep. Math up the wazoo. The Perspective object definitely would have helped, I wanted to use it for curvature of the "camera lens" but alas it's not for iOS.

But yep, it's a 360 degree playfield, I map out the area with big rocks and pickups and bad guys and whatever I like, in 2d, in the Level Editor like a top down shooter, then run around in it. I also have control of the players viewing angle field of view, and the perceived distance between each 3d sprite.

You can aim down at the ground and up into the sky. Players and baddies can take cover behind other objects. You can change the height of the "camera"/player view in relation to the horizon. So players can feel either smaller and closer to the ground, or bigger/hovering over everything else.

Not exactly sure where the best place to post this is, please let me know in the comments!

    REAL-TIME 24 HOUR CLOCK!

    - coupled with a 24 hour real-time clock where time in the game passes just as it does in the real world!
For example, if you are playing Rock Rock Rocket after work at 5:58pm, it’ll also be 5:58pm in the game,
the planet’s sun will be setting, and new enemies and events are beginning to emerge under the cover of night.
Or, 2 days after placing that weird space egg that you found in that weird space cave
onto a shelf in your spaceship, you notice that it is now beginning to hatch!

There will be some events and quests that span over a few real-time days,
and the main plot of our hero will actually play out over the course of about a month.

    STYLISED RETRO FIRST PERSON SHOOTER!

It's like Nintendo’s Animal Crossing, but with lasers!
And it's all experienced from within a stylised retro, first-person perspective,
that harkens back to the 2d/3d hybrid DOS games of old, but, with shooting mechanics and gameplay reminiscent
of contemporary classics like Metroid Prime, and the Halo series.

SILKY SMOOTH CONTROLS, ALL AT 60 FRAMES A SECOND!

Here’s a further taste of the sort of things I aim to incorporate :

    • A gripping Sci-Fi Survival Storyline with events that unfold over days, and weeks in real time
    • A heap of weapons and abilities to unlock
    • Multiple areas and zones, and day/night cycle with weather that changes up gameplay
    • Various Random Side events that pop up during each session.
    • A repairable, upgradeable Rocket ship that functions as your base of operations
    • Complete Research Sample Collections: discover and catalogue alien wildlife, plants and minerals
    • A whole range of space creatures, and enemies, to find and fight.

Please login to see this attachment.

Rock Rock Rocket will be a game that constantly has something new to discover, and is ever-changing day to day.
It’s a game that you can pick up and play for just 10 minutes to see what’s happening,
or to explore the cosmic wilderness for as long as you like, uncovering it’s mysteries at your own pace.

Thankyou, any questions don't hesitate to ask!

Oh man. What a great find! This just saved my butt.

I'm slowly discovering that are quite a few anomalies between testing the game through Fusion on a Mac/PC, and actually testing it on a device. Which makes a bit tricky to get them to match up so you don't go too far in the wrong direction. I spent the last couple of hours going through and manually change about 20+ different Flag Numbers (with values like Flag 911, and Flag 666 because they were easier to remember) , each with about 20 instances each. All I can say is thank god for the Ctrl +F Find function!

Next up is figuring out why some objects just flat out don't get created.

Hmm. I'm trying to get a game with a landscape resolution of 640 x 360, to display correctly on an iPhone 5. It seems to only fill half the screen, even when stretched, just with sections cut off. Other settings, the resolution doesn't change, but it displays more than the entire frame, including the parts that are hidden normally. I've tried just about every combo, and changing to various window sizes, and frame sizes.

Basically, if I have a frame and play area of 640 x 360 with no scrolling, does anyone know how can I make it display just that, no matter the device, full and stretched/filling the screen?
