Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

    I'm gonna make this short.

Ideas and temptations are floating in my head, and it's all making me realize the long term.
After working with mmf2.5 for so long, certain offers from other game engines are enticing me.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that there's a war going on in my head.
Part of me wants to continue using this engine, and another sees the harsh reality of the situation.
I mean--I gotta face facts here. This engine is just...
    ...
    *sigh*
Due to the abruptness of this large 'awakening', I'm gonna take some time off for experimenting.
I have to make sure that this random thought isn't just a large mistake,
because the task of redoing all the programming in a different engine is time consuming.
Now although I'm making this cryptic, I promise a large explanation next time.

I don't want to disclose too much info, but either two outcomes are gonna happen.
I'm gonna carry on with the project, or I'm gonna be leaving this forum forever.

I'm 18. But I have siblings who are younger than that and I still am not a fan of games with excessive amounts of blood regardless (X-Com UFO Defense is fine, modern X-Com games not so much, as one example). It doesn't help that it sounds like you're using the blood to intentionally be a bit disturbing, which, while a much better use of blood than most games (most games don't really have much of a reason aside from getting an M rating), well, it still doesn't change that I already find huge amounts of blood a bit disturbing, even more-so when it's deliberately disturbing.

Simply put, it's less that I'm not old enough and more that games with huge amounts of blood aren't really my thing. I'm not opposed to them existing, there's definitely a market for them (otherwise Call of Duty <insert number here> wouldn't have sold well), I'm just not in that market myself, basically.

    ok
    I respect that.

Yeah, I had a feeling it was going to be level-based. I was just making a joke about how there are lot of games with robots holding guns where said robots can also dodge-roll. The silhouette of your robot even reminds somewhat of Cobalt (though it's still distinct from it).

I guess there is quite a bit of robot-holding-gun games.

By the way; when I said multilevel, I meant non level-based. This means all the levels/areas are connected.

A robot wielding a gun of some kind, eh? So, is this going to have absurd amounts of dodge-rolling like Cobalt or Mega Man X7, two games that also feature robots wielding guns? XD

This game will be unlike mega man in some designs. The main discrepancy is the linearity. Mega man might have a level select, but this game will be multilevel. The best comparion I can make is cave story (Please login to see this link.).

I guess that's just the result of releasing one and a half levels; you're bound to come across misconceptions. Oh well. By the way, the new version of the game is currently underway. This time, I'm going full Gimp. All graphics are made from different software. Also, the game will be in a new, attractive 2560x1440 resolution. Needless to say, the game is getting a considerably great graphics upgrade. Lastly, the engine overhaul will be TREMENDOUSLY more fluid and easier to update.

Update: I forgot to tell you what the tone of the game will be. I'm thinking of a more cowboy bepop type tone. If you haven't watched it yet, here's a quick sense of scale. Sometimes the characters will crack a few jokes, and in the next few scenes, they'll contemplate on principles like morality and justification. Sometimes, the characters will just have a silent walk in the rain to take in the atmosphere and situation. It's a very in-the-grey game. That's why (in the next iteration) I will make the main character a grey robot; its color reflects the tone.

If I'm being honest, I think this sounds like the right decision. The new version of the game sounds like it focused a bit too much on being, I dunno... how to describe it in one word? Maybe edgy? Maybe dark? I dunno. Though the gameplay sounded solid, and the jokes sounded pretty funny, I'm not sure I entirely approved of where the story sounded like it was going. The playable character not even being human does have potential, since that could mean a robot, it could mean an alien, or it could mean something else, and any of those would be a cool change of pace compared to your other games. :)

I wish you best of luck on the new version of your game!

The new version of the game will still have dark elements to it. I'm sorry if you won't like it, but the new version of the game will incorporate more darker elements from things like Ghost in the Shell. Despite that, I can reassure you that the game will still contain many lighthearted moments. I firmly believe that the game needs both to progress.

(As for this thread, I will be closing it soon. I will start a new thread with the next iteration of the project)
(This thread will go into hibernation until said iteration is more substantial.)
