Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

for a second i thought this was version control and got really excited lol. -

in the image editor, rotating an image also crops it which is a very weird behavior.

Seems to work in general, but the only issue for Velocity Noodle is that it's not reading that a gamepad is being used. I don't know if it's the xbox/joypad extension or whatever.
-
Not necessarily. It can be pretty time-consuming, and you might forget to eat sometimes, which would save a few bucks.
ah this is true, thinking outside of the box!

Helping your family with groceries by doing a mobile game in 2022 is like wanting to turn dirt into gold. Odds are you would have made 0 dollars since mobile (especially android) is so oversaturated and ran by Chinese publishers pumping out multiple games a week until something sticks, if you don't believe me just go do your research on how they contract developers to make a game in 14 days and if it doesn't bring in X amount of dollars/conversation it gets killed. The outliers are games that have success on steam and then get converted and even those have lower RoI compared to the time invested in building and porting.
I agree it's not clear that ads is only for the developer but ultimately this is your own fault since you could just have done a quick google instead of assuming.
-
That's why indie developers need decades to release their project, including me.
X)haha true that. I find myself, especially by the end of projects, just forcing myself through the different tickets and to-dos just to get the game done. If not I spend too much time on admin which just kills the little motivation I have left to finish the game.
Not to mention you also have to start marketing, setting up steam store, emailing influencers etc. -
You can also put them in a frame before the game frame to get them into the RAM, making it quicker. Atleast on PC, i dont develop for mobile.

There is no automatic loading screen, if you want/need one you have to do it yourself. E.g. for Velocity Noodle each level goes through a process of:
-load an array
-set the correct position of the array
-build out the level
-Add level tiles and sprite
-Auto-tiling
-Setting times, scores, reset the camera
-Destroy unnecessary objectsAll this takes 0.5-5 seconds depending on the size of the level/cpu. During this process you can see objects being created and destroyed, freezing and camera moving around. It looks quite jarring so I cover the screen with an image and a smaller moving image in the corner (so you know the game hasnt crashed). In this screen I also had small tips and a loading bar, which was basically done by adding a value to the counter/string after certain level generation events.
When it's all done, i destroy the loading images, voila. This is how it works for most modern games too, it's just covering the screen while stuff happens.

Yves would it be possible to add unicode support to ini++ 1.5? I desperately need to be able to load Japanese and Chinese into an ini. I know the original Ini can do it but i use subgroups and other features that only ini++ have. I did see there's a branch for it but it doesnt have all features (including subgroups).

Any chance we could get the Box2D world overlay? To see what the objects are actually reacting to? I had a bug I had been hunting for weeks and apparently it was reacting to an invisible object on another layer. These types of things would be easier to find if we could actually the see collision mask.
