Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Clickteam.

    Hello everyone,

    I'm setting up a monthly game jam for the Clickteam community to show off what they've learnt and to show off.

    Whether you're a beginner, using the free edition, or whether you're advanced, this jam is meant for you to test your skills.

    I'll be hosting it every first Friday of the month.

    I really hope Clickteam Fusion 2.5 doesn't mind me hosting this every month. This is all meant to be fun after all! (We have had delays for a few months, but it's now back!)

    Here's the link to the jam page: Please login to see this link.

    Here's the Discord server: Please login to see this link.

    Please remember that this is meant to be fun. Please read and respect the rules. If you don't want to participate, then you don't have to join.

    New rule: 25 events only!

    Thanks!

    Oh dear :/ i think you were best off not going there. this is why things like this should only be trusted by clickteam official channels. they've done this before - properly many times.

    if someone wants to learn, then marv's site cannot be beaten for open source examples. Please login to see this link.

    i get you're keen to "contribute" - for who i dont know, coz you are contradicting yourself every second post.
    if you want help; upload all your MFA's to some dropbox or similar, and people can look at them and fix them.

    Alright... Last time now. You're way behind nw, but eh.

    Firstly, I'm not contradicting myself. A person from the community had thought of a good idea, and if the game owner is okay with it, we will upload it to wherever suitable. What's your problem with this game jam? It's your choice to join or not. And I really, actually, am sorry if I offended anyone with the .Mfa thing. However, they are the rules. And I'm not budging from that.

    Thank you.

    I do have good intentions. I'm doing basically what the Godot Wild Game Jam is doing, whereby it'll always happen monthly.
    There's no prizes for the Godot Wild Game Jam or the Ludum Dare Game Jam? So... You know?
    For fun and for learning purposes, yes. I just want everyone to learn how to use Fusion more. That's all I want. Whether it's the Free Edition, or the paid version.
    I'll reiterate this once again, that's all I'm going to do. IF the game's OWNER says it's okay, then it shall be shared, IF NOT, then it will not.
    Again, for the Godot Wild Game Jam and the Ludum Dare Game Jam, ALONG WITH A LOT OF OTHER GAME JAMS, do NOT have prizes. I don't know what you want from me.
    If the Free Edition users are as experienced as the paid users, then they will not be overshadowed. It's rare, but they do exist.

    Again, for the Godot Wild Game Jam, there is a Discord server and the Itch.io page. And I believe they are posting on the Godot forums too, if there is a Godot forum.
    I sent a message, but nobody replied unfortunately. Same with ZenTaco's server. I asked where should I put the link, but no replied at all.

    That's fine if you don't want to join.

    you seem to want all these "rules" and then on the other hand say its for "fun". people can showcase their skills anywhere. you just havent thought this through. id be surprised if anyone even wanted to submit. this is just another flyby in my books.

    The rules are easy to follow hahah. I don't get why you're so against it? This is for fun. It's just 3 frames, code, the .Mfa file, that's pretty much it. I don't get your problem with it hahah. I mean, Clickteam, with all their power, could host jams every week. But they don't. I have thought it through thoroughly, you don't seem to understand where I'm coming from.

    It'll be monthly, so I'll probably be back next month.

    suggest two things.

    Drop the frame limit as a time limit of one week is already a short time. With no frame limit you don't even need the MFA.

    or Make it open MFA for everyone that joins to learn. You could run themes for the jams based on different game mechanics in Fusion. example top down one month, platform another. People can join and show their own ways of doing things and learn new ways from others.

    With the frame limitation gone, the Free Edition users won't stand a chance I don't think. A week might be a short amount of time, yes. However, this game jam is meant for EVERYONE in the Clickteam community, like I previously stated.

    As for the open .Mfa idea, I like it, but it is just the game owner's choice to give it away to the community. It isn't mine. And like I said before, there's theme suggestions in the Discord server, and we'll have a vote.

    People didn't seem to mind when Sparckman did his competition, where you upload the .Mfa file to a website, and then he'll look at it and see if it's all good, then publish the .Exe to the website. I was in the first competition. I know he's somewhat banned from Clickteam now, for why I still don't know, but we just want everyone to have fun.

    If Clickteam wants to host a game jam, then we'll happily postpone the jam for people to do the official Clickteam jam.

    I'm sorry if I offended anybody with the announcement of submitting their .Mfa files, but these are the rules. And if the game owner wants to share their .Mfa files, then that'll be available.

    I really hope more people join in the jam. Because it's to showcase people's skills. And if people want to, they can carry on their project after the game jam, with no submitting the .Mfa files.

    I hope this clears more things up.

    Thanks!

    why.. are there prizes? why do you need the mfa - apart from getting some open source? - are you going to make all those open source available. why should a complete random be trusted with those files otherwise. what is an mfa even required for. I wasnt going to enter anything - like ive done lots of these things before. i was just commenting about your mfa "requirement" & see where this was going. IMO - you just want some open source to learn from - or steal from, but thats just what i think.

    No prizes. I'm not that rich yet hahah.

    We need the .Mfa files because as I mentioned before: people might go beyond the frame limit if they have the full, paid version, or just the cracked version.

    With the game owner's permission, we can make it open source for learning purposes.

    We won't steal the code. I have 7+ years experience with Clickteam. And true, I'm still learning, but aren't we all? As for the managers in the server, they won't steal either.

    At the end of the day, this is just for fun and it'll be monthly as well. The jam will be on for a week. Judging will take a week, then the results, I think, will be the week after.

    We just want to have a nice, monthly jam with themes. Because Clickteam Fusion 2.5 is busy with other things, we wanted a special jam just for fun every month so that people who want to join and test their skills with a monthly jam, they can do so with this one.

    We don't want to steal anything.

    I really hope this clears any concerns up.

    Think game jams are fun even though I never finished one.
    Not sure why you are asking for people to send you their MFA to prove they made the game they submit.
    What happens to the MFA files?
    Do they get posted some where so all participants can get them and learn from them also?
    I'm more inclined to join if they get shared with every one and it becomes a learning experience to all. Would recommend MFAs should also have comments added to explain whats happening also in that case.
    Good luck with it and maybe with a bit more info I might give it a go.

    Hello,

    I do guess that the .Mfas could be released as learning resources, with the permission of the owner of the game. The reason behind the .Mfas being examined is purely because some people might take advantage of the 3 frame limit and go beyond that.

    I just want everyone to have an equal chance, you know?

    Thanks! :D

    you should have some kind of themes / extreme limitations etc. is it just make anything once a month?

    Hello,

    There will be a theme announced every first Friday of the month. You then have a week to complete the game and publish it.

    The rules:

    1. 3 Frame limit only (for the Free Edition to try and get top places).

    2. Give the proof of your game's legitimacy. by providing the mfa file

    3. The jam starts every first Friday of the month for a week.

    4. No controversial topics if you can (these are: racism, homophobia, sexism, etc.).

    5. Please limit extensions.

    Right now, we're having a vote on Discord to see the theme. On the server, you can suggest themes as well.

    Hope to see you all there!

    Thanks!

    You must code an extension to use their API , and use events on fusion;

    eg: post score

    Code
    function postScore(scoreboard_id, score_value) {  	/* If there is no user attached to our ngio object, it means the user isn't logged in and we can't post anything */ 	if (!ngio.user) return;  	ngio.callComponent('ScoreBoard.postScore', {id:scoreboard_id, value:score_value}); }  postScore(some_scoreboard_id, your_score);

    If button clicked : postScore some_scoreboard_id (first input) and the score in (second input);
    I use visual studio community 2019 and Html5 Sdk of CT to produce .mfx file and .js file..

    I know nothing about coding an extension unfortunately. How long do you think it will take to finish your project and move onto the Newgrounds extension? Will it be able to download for free?

    I'm sorry if I'm bothering you or being a little bit pushy, but it has been a while since the last Newgrounds extension was developed for free in the Flash Clickteam extension.

    Flash isn't supported and I don't want to buy it if the extension doesn't work. I actually don't think that the Newgrounds extension works for Flash anymore unfortunately.

    I have the HTML5 exporter, the developer dlc and the :cf25+: dlc; and I'm making a little game to try it out, but I just can't, for the life of me, wrap my head around how I'm meant to add things such as leaderboards or medals to my game.

    I'm very sure it's perfectly possible, considering that the html5 extension can run javascript events, and other minor things that I may not understand, it's just that I haven't figured it out for myself yet.

    Any help or guidance please? maybe there's someone out there's who's managed it, but by the looks of things so far... there aren't.
    Please login to see this link.

    I have not yet got it to work, but whenever I do, I will post a tutorial free.

    Hi, when finished my works i will try to make an extension to upload html5 games to Newgrounds using their sdk libs ... this wil take some times so be patient;
    I can not drop projet for starting another one ;

    I just wanted to know if it was possible using their current APIs via: Please login to see this link. and integrating the Please login to see this link. into the folders. Now, I do not know if this is possible. Is it?

    If so, how would I do it?
