If I can have a walkthrough of how you pulled it off it will help a great deal. I tried to back engineer it, but I didn't get the same result you got. I am sorry if I am missing something.
I just can't figure it out. No amount of writing it down for me is helping. Global value this, ini file that. I copy examples to the letter and they never work.
Please can someone just spend 30 minutes with me on skype or Facebook chat to figure out how I can save last position on a frame when I move back and forth, RPG wise. There isn;y even a tutorial on this. I found one RPG tutorial that PROMISED they would show us how it was done... but that video was made 3 years ago.
I know if I just listen to someone it will be much much easier.
Okay here is the sample I got, I am trying to break it down so I can understand it. Can someone help me understand how it was done? A little tutorial maybe? Sorry to be a pain.
Okay I am working on an RPG. But the problem is transitioning character position from one frame to the next. To make the game not so linear. Basically I need the character to enter a frame from the position he came from a previous frame.
For example. If the character comes down from frame 1 into frame 2, obviously he needs to come into frame 2 from the top.
But if she comes up from frame 3 into frame 2, he needs to come in from the bottom of frame 2, but at the moment it only enters into frame 2 from the top as if it came in from frame 1.
I am assuming this can be fixed in the global events editor, but I am unsure as to how to do this.
Also how do I get frames to remember events from other frames, like RPG maker?
Okay I need a little help here. I need to change a frame, which is the easy bit I can do that.
WhatI can;t figure out is this.
I enter a building or a room on the map. In order to enter the building I change the frame. That much is easy. But I leave the building instead of appearing outside of the building on the previous frame, my character appears on the other end of the map. Is there a way to make the character appear outside the building where he would logically appear, out side the building's door?
