If you need to test against an obstacle (backdrop), you could use

-(Negate) Storyboard controls -> Collision Mask -> Is an obstacle

or using expression:

- Storyboard controls -> Frame -> Value of collision mask
=
0

If you need to test if there is a backdrop image without "obstacle"-type being set, then I'm not sure.

No, the reason why the Mode7 extension is slow is because mode7 engine itself. I don't think it would make a big difference.
That's my understanding, I could be wrong though.

Yes of course, I'm seeing Win7 as WinXP compared to Win2000, but I still find it a bit early as it was intended to be released first quarter of 2010.

Well from what I heard the Acer-leak story has recently been confirmed by Microsoft, and they said it will be released in October. A bit early IMO.

I guess that technically, Windows 7 is like XP (5.1) was to Windows 2000 (5.0). In other words, it works pretty much the same internally, but it has been improved alot. (Others sees Windows 7 as just a SP pack for Vista).

Correct me if I'm wrong, or if you have other opinions
