I'm also looking forward to these.

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Lol Danny, you say central is best then you mention Lancashire where you live. It really depends on where everyone is from. If a vast majority of people attending are from England, somewhere around Birmingham (or Birmingham itself) would probably be best. If there are many people in Scotland, Sheffield seems more central if we're considering the whole UK.

I think if the games are more like mini games, the scope isn't big enough for an individual release. When I say mini game, I'm talking about something that doesn't have as much longevity or replay value as an arcade classic. Let's take Galaga for example—I could play that for hours because of its addictive gameplay mechanics. I can't be the judge of the longevity of your game of course, but it's a good idea to create a bundle if it doesn't seriously hook a player. Perhaps some QA testing might be in order to determine this.

Yes, that is because I changed the frame background to black to test whether it is a problem with the extension or the runtime itself. I think I clarified that in the bugbox description. (Edit: Seems I didn't explain that fully.)

Honestly, I haven't kept up with Fusion 3. I must admit I was starting to feel that it had become vapourware. My fault for not staying up to date. I wasn't even aware it was 2D-only. (I can understand wanting to avoid another Jamagic, no offence.) That said I imagine there will be some good support for 3D meshes across all exporters? I'd love to make a game with 3D models and pre-rendered backgrounds. I'm glad to hear there will be another convention at last.

Any word on shaders? It's been a while, so an update would be nice.

That would make sense since the video is 6-7 seconds long. After clearing some RAM (but I don't know if it's specifically related to this) I got the flashes less often, perhaps every thirty seconds. Another friend I asked gets them frequently. The problem must be to do with how the extension processes the final frame and loop. Here is the bugbox link: Please login to see this link.
-
Thanks for testing it. Is there anybody else? Keep in mind that I'm not the only one who has experienced these white flashes. I'd like to evaluate the problem and if it's determined to be significant, any suggestions.

I have uploaded this test: Please login to see this link.
My application will display a series of questions. In the background I wanted the video to display for the full duration. Unfortunately, for me and for others who I've asked, the video flickers white every so often. It seems to be every time it loops since the video is six seconds long. As you can imagine, this is pretty frustrating. If I uncheck the "display as sprite" option it seems to play okay, but that isn't an option for me since it is a background. Is there anything I can do, or is CF2.5 doomed to HTML5 video lag?
Edit: I've been talking with Phi on ClickConverse and I reduced the FPS. It seems to be playing but there is a white flicker every so often. Do you get them?
Edit 2: Somebody with a slower machine gets flickers more often. It would be nice if it just slowed it down instead of flickers.
It's been determined that the HTML5 Video extension skips a frame at the end, thus creating the single transparent frame when a video loops. Tested with black frame background to find if it's a transparent frame. I'll report this to the bug box. I tried to edit this thread with a more accurate title ("Video Frame Skipping") since it's now clear the problem isn't with performance but that frame problem.

I realise that social media sharing is even troublesome in Android, but for HTML5 I think the only way is to send variables to a PHP script that will process the quiz result. For example, it could be a "Your colour is" quiz with a bunch of personality questions, and then the visitor is told "Green is your colour, click here to share on Facebook (or Twitter)", if you get what I mean. I don't want just the same generic URL that the quiz is displayed on shared, but perhaps a specific PHP URL with that quiz result? Sorry, I'm not familiar with PHP, but I just want a pointer here. Facebook is my top priority. It's also worth noting...
Just to clarify, the new Facebook extension will be compatible with all runtimes.
This was posted two years ago. Correct me if I'm wrong but I never found one. Also, one other thing. Has anybody here worked tried implementing video advertisements in their projects? What's the best way to go about this? Thanks.

Fernando, which Android versions have your test phones been running? I think this is possibly a more important detail than the Samsung model. I really wish I could help, but I don't own such phones. It's only customers who have had the problem so I can't get logs. I could send an MFA privately, but I don't think this would be useful since you've tried this already with others.
-
So, no fixes yet? It's too bad since Samsung is arguably the biggest Android manufacturer. I'm just glad it's a fairly small-time free app I made. I'd hate to be a larger developer and face this problem. All the same, thanks for your efforts.
Edit: I didn't notice there's another thread made since mine as I viewed my post from my profile. If it gets confusing you could lock this and centralise the problem to that thread.
-
Any progress on a fix? I would provide a log if I could, but I'm going by somebody else's reports. I don't have an S5 or equivalent device myself.
Thanks.

Ah! Thanks for letting me know and I appreciate that.

There's nothing erroneous to point out. I haven't had anybody else complain about the sound not working. But a week ago a customer got in contact with me about an app I produced. I've been troubleshooting for a while but I can't come up with anything, aside the obvious like checking her phone's settings which she has done. This is her last message:
QuoteI just troubleshooted with a Verizon rep and it is not the phone. We noticed that when it downloads it doesn't ask for permission for the phones media. He also said that the app looks like it doesn't have the correct code or something for verizon and that is probably why the speak button is disabled for the app. The only other device I have is an iPad mini. Hopefully u can get an app working for either devices because I badly want to use it
I believe Verizon is a phone network in the US? Funny she'd ask one of those guys, but maybe she's onto something. However, in the Android settings I couldn't see permissions relating to media—I figured this was a "permission" all apps came with. Then again, if I look at it a different way, maybe she's talking about "media" as in the memory card, which would be annoying since this might be related to how Google is shutting out SD card support for each new Android version. Any thoughts on this? Also, correct code for Verizon? O_o What would that have to do with anything? Anyhow, if any of you guys could help me get my app working on the lady's phone ASAP, I'd appreciate it! I'm really stumped.
Current permissions: Camera, Vibration

Oh man, I paid much more for Spriter Pro a few weeks back! I'm gonna get this bundle anyway. Plenty of other good stuff, even though I already own most of it.

Yes, but isn't the Fusion lossless 24-bit image compression quite old? I was more thinking of some kind of integration of this technology within Fusion, but I guess that's asking a bit much. Perhaps something for an extension? I think ~70% reduction of lossless (although it does seem TinyPNG might apply some lossy compression it is almost invisible to the naked eye) image data is nothing to sneeze it.
-
Check it out: Please login to see this link.
It would be amazing if Yves and the guys added support for this in CF. Just imagine the possibilities. Web browsers fully support it, but the TinyPNGs don't load properly in CF. Basically, it compresses PNGs by about 70%, give or take a few. We're in the age of making HD games now, and you know how bloated PNGs for HD games can be. For games that are image-heavy, supporting TinyPNG could even cut a game's size down by hundreds of megabytes.

Thanks so much, prester. I will give this a try as soon as I can and let you know the results. I appreciate it.

Hello prester. Thanks for your help. I know what you mean, but that is not an option for me. The data in my app is created with Microsoft Excel. The database is then stored as an XML spreadsheet.
This XML spreadsheet is loaded into this program: Please login to see this link.
It converts XML spreadsheets to MMF2's ARR format. This is why you saw the old CNC header. Although the old array format would seem like the reason why this isn't working, keep in mind that I had no problems at all before this new CF2.5 version. It all worked perfectly, and creating a database in Excel is the only option for me since Clickteam does not provide any utility for creating databases. This is a section of my spreadsheet in MS Excel. Please login to see this picture.
You can take a look for yourself at these screenshots of my app, with the text in each screenshot loaded from an old format ARR file: Please login to see this link.
I wonder if the new CF2.5 version breaks compatibility with old array formats, but this is strange because English text still loads okay from the array. My version of CF2.5 is 284.10.
